Selling content on turbosquid

Is it okay for DAZ3d users to export their characters and sell them on turbosquid?

What do you mean by export?  You can distribute .duf character presets (and any morph assets which are solely your creation).  You cannot export as .obj or other formats which contain the actual mesh.

    Nope...not at all.

Figures you get here at daz are liscenced for use in art, not for redistribution.

It's not legal and they wont accept it. Many modeling sites will now ban users for even uploading assets they provide for free when they try to pass off someone elses work and many times they are outed by fellow users.

If you want to sell on turbo squid or really anywhere you will need to learn to model your own assets.

Blender is free, and your time is not money, otherwise I could stand around and be a millionaire, and I'm not. ")

I imagine what you meant was, can you use Daz Studio to build your own characters, props, and other assets for sale on TurboSquid. The answer to that is yes, as long as all the assets are created from scratch by you. The use of Daz Studio to create, shade, or otherwise manipulate your own 3D assets in no ways encumbers your commercial use of those assets.

That said, D|S is not really the tool for creating models. It's really a program for shading, lighting, and rendering those models.

You can't sell someone elses models on turbosquid,  or anywhere else.  You have to make them from scratch to have the right to sell them.  Learn how to model in 3D!

People love a lot of other stuff, but personally I think Carrara's modeling system is really easy and cool to use. Carrara is often on sale for $60.

It's worth attempting to learn Blender first, because it's free, but for me it was like trying to learn pottery using artificial hands attached to 10 foot poles.

Can one sell just OBJ files they made with blender on TurboSquid? Right now I am stuck with Ubuntu and I think I can run Blender on ubuntu.  If I can I was wondering if I can sell 3d models I made by myself (except with the aid of tutorials) and just by myself?

I see .obj models for sale a lot, some aren't even UV mapped.

Yes, Blender will run fine on Ubuntu...in fact, it will probably run better than on Windows or at least be more stable.

Here's some Blender UV mapping info...

Can I sell my Blender?... It has a turnip stuck in it and I want to get a new one... Actually, I want a new Blender too, but I'm afraid the EULA on the turnip might prevent me from reselling it... I know you can't open an Apple up and rearrange the seeds because that is a violation of its EULA, so I'm guessing that probably means the same applies to the turnip, which unfortunately is stuck in the Blender. I tried using Carrara to knock the turnip out, but I chipped the glass and dropped the Carrara marble on my foot... Thank goodness it was only a cutting board and not that statue I stole from the museum. I should have listened to my friend Bryce, he said turnips wouldn't make a very good smoothie.
