Software's waldo sale: is the free item working? [solved]

Hi,

I have an item from the software category in my cart: http://www.daz3d.com/underwater-relics-shaders
And I have a featured DAZ Original in my cart: http://www.daz3d.com/boardwalk-outfit-for-genesis-2-female-s

The shop calculates the price as $7.12 + $13.97 = $21.09

Shouldn't the DAZ Original item be free? Is it not working, or am I misunderstanding the sale?

Looks as if the Underwater Relics shaders are not working as a qualifying item - we have reported this.

Ah, it's because the Underwater Relics shader is under $10. The banner is being updated to make that clearer.

Ah. That text is only on the left banner, not the other one. It wasn't clear.

Thanks, I'll have to think it through then. :)

Awww I am disappointed, when i got home from work and saw this sale started shopping and placed some iray textures in the cart, and when i clicked the daz original options for the freebie to go with what I was going to purchased.  there was one 1 of 12 items showing.  Because I had hide the things i own clicked,  the other 11 items offered I already own did show. so it looks like there is not much incentive to continue with my shopping on this offer after i seen my options for the free daz originals i had already owned. ..lol   Good to know that daz was offering g2f items for a sale though. just not the ones i didn't own already..lol

It is curious that DAZ go to all this trouble to set up a sale, and then put such a small selection of items in the free list. There are hundred's of additional cheaper DOs they could have added, I wonder why they came up with this particular list of just 12, rather an odd ball mix of items. I already have 7 of the 12, and I have little interest in the remaining 5.

Yup I own most of them as well.  Not that I need to spend another dime anyway...

Yep. The above was the only combination I would have bought anything in this sale. With 700+ items in my whishlist, I don't really want to buy stuff I don't actually want... :) So I skip this sale. Ah well, there will always be another sale... :)
