I had a problem... I just received a bonus and wanted to build a better art computer, and read all of the forum threads that I could find on the subject. But I soon began suffering from information overload. i7? i5? DDR4? DDR3? Which out of 100 motherboards? Urrrggg... But on one thread, I noticed a member who seemed to know his way around, and I sent him a note asking him if he could advise me. After quite a few notes exchanged, we settled on re-using my Nvidia 960 4G video card, hard drives, case, fans and power supply.
So today I ordered a motherboard, i7 processor, and 32gigs of DDR4-3200 RAM to build a replacement for the i3 with 16gigs of DDR3 1600 RAM.

That ought to get rid of the jerky panning and posing, and kick the rendering into overdrive! And I have enough to get the Nvidia GTX 1070, and room for future expansion. 64gigs RAM, anyone?

So, thanks to another member, I'm getting the computer that I need. I'm not giving their name because they took quite a bit of time to help me out, and I don't know if they have the time to do it more than once.

This is a great community.
