Buying Gift Card offer concurrently with other Promo and pay for all with card?

The promo for new items 20% Gift card offer calls for purchase of 4 new items for 20% card. 

The Sci-Fi promo requires to buy 1 new Sci Fi listed item to qualify or 65% discount on additional Sci Fi Items.

If I buy 3 new items + the 1 new listed Sci Fi item required to qualify forSci Fi promo will I qualify for gift card ... and Sci-Fi Promo? 

Then can I  pay with gift card for aldditional Sci-Fi itens that qualify for the 65% discount.

This way I am trying to include both offers in one transaction

1.- do I have to buy 4 new items to qualify for the gift card discount and buy the card?

2  - do the Sci Fi offer separate, buy 1 new listed Sci Fi item  and the 65% disount applies on the additional Sci fi items and I pay using gift card.

I started to try this, but thought it might be better to ask. 

I've never used a gift card before and don't know if it has to be a separate transaction for each gift card purchase.

    To qualify for the full 20% discount on Gift card you need 4 new items in the cart at the same time; but you can use fewer items and get less discount. PC+ items with the new tag also qualify.You can not use a gift card (or store credit) to pay for any part of the order that contains the gift card

    Once you have the gift card and converted it to store credit you can use that to pay for subsequent orders, including SciFi

    So you probably would want to make two seperate orders.
