Furry furry fur!

ScavengerScavenger Posts: 2,674

I recently made a picture with a furry character.  But he doesn't look very furry.

I use the mats from the Bunny Girl for Genesis. I fiddled a bit with settings but didn't get anywhere and needed to render and finish.

So, it's time for me to learn to make fur.  This was done in iRay, but it wasn't furry in Lux either.

Anyone have suggestions on where to start?

    LAMH.

Yes, it's for 3Delight, but you can export the simulation as a mesh and then render it in Iray/Lux/What have you.

That's how I did my Christmas Card this year - I composited the 3DL render with an Iray one - to do the Iray, I had to export the fur simulation

Well, Daz crashes when I try to load the LAMH preset like the video shows to do, so I guess this is a dead end :(

Well using a shader and some photoshop compositing magic I got something on this I'm happy enough with.  I'll have to revist this all when starting to do stuff with actual animals.
