Shoe issue

Hey folks,

I am using Gen 3 and applied Gen 2 shoes to her.  I removed the custom toe morph from the shoes but it is still causing distortion to the toe of the shoes....any ideas?  The problem seems to be that the shoes have toe bones in them and I would need to delete each one of those bones...very tedious is there a way aroud this?

Thanks

yep, autofitting shoes from one figure to another is almost always going to be problematic. Dspite many tutorials and attempts posted and tried, I have not found a perfect solution other than sticking with the generation/figure the shoes are made for.

Thanks FSMCDesigns, I think you are correct.  I have tried adding a smoothing modifier, etc and get some results.  If you use something not designed for something else you need to be prepared for some rework.

I found that when fitting shoes from one generation to another that when it comes to using Autofit is to just leave it as unsupported from the what figure did they come from part.. I have had relatively good results doing it that way as it does not screw up the mesh..

http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/59515/another-converting-victoria-4-footwear-to-genesis-2-maybe-g3f-small-update if you look at this mini tute I did with help, can help a lot.. But in the end there are some shoes that no matter how hard you try will never behave the way you want them to..

I have converted a lot of shoes from V4 to Genesis 2 even had good results with sandals and open toes shoes..  Even been able to convert G3F shoes back to G2F those that did not behave under autofit..

But in the end it really depends on how much you really want to have those shoes on later generation figures..

I've been fighting with this again in another thread....so far my best method is traveling back in time and beating the PA's with a bat until they make G2F versions of the shoes I want with the v4 ones.
