Huh. Teen reptilian 6... well, that inspires me. :) (Reptilian 6 + growing up)

If it wouldn't be appropriate for the subject matter you create, you don't need to buy it. But please don't say that simply having it available for others that may wish to create family scenes or populate a city with all age levels shouldn't have the option is a bad thing, which I doubt is the way you meant this to be taken.

I think that pretty much goes without saying. If every render you do uses adult themes, then it's obvious you're not in the market for teens. For those of us who work on more family-friendly material, having teens can mean the difference between a happy family and a world populated entirely by grown adults.

I can only assume that means Justin returns to pair Julie once again~ (whatever his name turns out to be.)

Or that one of the other PA projects got adopted. But will their styles match?

    Either way, great news!

Thanks for the update Steve, I am assuming you mean a companion for the upcoming Tween Julie. This, for me at least, is a reasonable compromise, since dialling the tween to less than a full morph will likely get you a teen anyway.

Yeah, if you had to pick, having a tween is much more ideal because they're further removed from the adult figures and textures, and having both makes making teens much simpler.

Tweens are younger than teens so they're like 12? : )

Basically yeah that's all it really means.

No one said people should not buy anything.  I really do not care what anyone buys or does not buy.

What I said is that since I deal in adult material the teen figures are not usable to me.  What others do is up to them although many people are under the impression that since these are not real people that the renderings are not subject to obsenity laws.  They are. In fact even cartoon characters are subject to the law.

This thread is for people who do want male teen (or tween) characters. Not everyone will fall into that camp, of course, but there's no need for that to be said here - the thread isn't a poll and allowing the people wanting a product to post uninterrupted by those not wanting it won't be taken as an endorsement of the call to divert resources into something unwanted.

I have Growing Up which solves most of my problems, but skin is one of the characteristics that's hard to fake. For the sleeping child render I did, I noticed, in particular, the eyelids were too lined to look quite right.

There are some tricks I could use to make skin look more youthful, but a good set of 'young skin' templates are just useful. (It's the one thing that's tempting me to pick up some prior young models, despite not really needing the morphs)

    Alright then:

    Tween Julie 7
(Tween Boy) 7 (Most likely Justin)

    Ivan 7
    Lucian 7
    Aiko 7
    (Anime Male) 7

So, yeah, who else should we know about?

Oh my, forgive me as I didn't know that only the select are allowed to post any thoughts..... I will not post again so that should satisfy your requirements.

Actually the dearth is not teen males, it's *official* teen males. Between AliveSheCried and S-F Design there is no shortage of teen male dial-spin characters. They don't come with skins, and they don't come with bundles, but the morphs are reasonably varied.

DAZ stopped providing any kind of child figure after Genesis 1, and at that, it wasn't an official figure with a bundle. Just a morph. With Zev0's Growing up morphs very few have felt the lack -- apart from when looking for something for them to wear.

I'm a little grumphed at the lack of the kind of clothing that came in the teen male bundles. All of it was useful and most of it was casual sportswear that you could put on just about anyone.

There's also Mar3D's teen characters for G3F&M, which don't require any additional morph sets and have several child morph settings.  The same vendor also has a very nice set of G3F to male morphs that are great for creating young teens with G3F skins.

  • Could we just get HD morphs (which aren't really HD anymore)? The super low polygon number of these models is making things really tough to get any kind of detail. When clothing items often have more polygons than the main figure, it starts to be noticeable.

Actually, the areas that are the most often the source of complaints are covered. There are HD morphs fore the face in the head morph packs for G3F and G3M, and for muscles there are the HD muscle morphs for both.

This is a disappointing trend. I like more male figures, but I am disppointed that "sales data" rears its ugly head yet again.

Perhaps Male-M3mdia will come to the rescue.  I use his morphs for Genesis 2 all the time... his teen male heads are some of the most unique characters going (well almost all of his morphs are).

Er... the thing is, "Sales Data" = Cash dollars. If someone was running a restaurant and losing their shirt on a large section of the menu, would you expect them to keep selling those same items?  I personally hate the idea that there's not going to be a G3M version of Jayden, but at least I've got the G2M version and, hopefully, there'll be a G4M version when that rolls around.  In the end, though, I think the fundamental problem is that there's just not enough people actively buying the male products that are out there, not that there might be some male figure that might sell better.

No problem, he is in schedule...after the millenium cow and Victoria 190 for Regenesis 40.

PS: I also love to the misunderstood Cory.

Young Jayden did it low, but old George HD... is still hot? Of course, difference is the high quality of Mr. G and his excellent presentation.

And the fact he was a daily mindblower requirement for extra discounts for two days including the final catchup day of March Madness. I think George is excellent, but I still saved money by buying him (it cost me less to buy what I wanted with him than without him.)

I agree. I think he's a great character but would probably not have bought him (well at least not right now) without MM Sale.

Things drop out the what's hot list pretty quickly if they are not still selling, and the fact that George is still there now, several days after the better pricing for him disappeared, goes to show that he is a very popular item.
