I have some of the base figure packages mainly because it's a good way to get a varied list of things. I have Michael 6 Pro, Ninive 6 Pro, Michael 4 Pro... huh, I didn't get Victoria 6 bundle? Weird.
Ninive 6 I got because it was heavily discounted and had a bunch of extras I found useful (like the hair).
Generally I prefer flexibility of skins and morphs to generate what I want, although lately I've been snatching up legacy stuff to add range of options (like Legacy 5 and 4).

We're almost caught up to you where I'm at in Ohio. $60 for tags, but if you are 1 day past your birthday, it's $80
Not to mention that stupid E-check crap. My truck gets me to work and back 5 days a week (20 minute drive each way) on $30 every other week but I can't get my dang check engine light to go off so it's an automatic fail :(
I personally wouldn't drive my car anywhere with the check engine light on, LOL.
It's just a stupid lean code (too much air not enough gas mixure) and I've replaced all the sensors and hoses and it still won't go away. It's really cutting into my Daz budget >:(
Same here. Buying stuff you don't want just makes them believe that you want more of it.
Aw, thanks - you wrote my response for me. :)
You really have to calculate it through based on what you want out of a bundle. Most of the time when you want 4 items out of a pro bundle (or 2 out of a starter bundle) the bundle is similar in price than buying the single items.
That's what I do - open a tab for each of the included items, go through closing the ones I don't care about, and then compare what's left with the bundle (allowing for any extra discounts).
Just so you know, I bought this on release day in 2008 and my invoice lists 39$ as the full price.
I agree that the average price of some items has increased in recent years (it has definitely decreased a lot when you compare to very old items though...), but you also get more in a pack on average. It doesn't really help with the budget problems, I know, but it's still worth mentioning...
Same here.
The day I wish listed it on 3/21/2012 it was listed as $32 bucks and that is what I wrote in the comments section of my wish list. so thats what I go buy
I bought it on February 19th 2012 in a Stonemason 50% Sale - it was listed as $19.98 down from $39.95 then too. (I picked up A Village Courtyard the next day in the same sale, also $19.98 from $39.95)
But I fully agree on the point about (mostly) keeping out of sales where you need to buy something (expensive and) new to get something you've been waiting for.
I only see one bundle on the Fastgrab page (OK so I own a lot of bundles!) so not a lot of use to me, but great for those who are waiting for them.
One thing that often turns me off about the bundles, besides the usual pricing, is the usual issues. The whole voodoo Monique/Darius thing, and HEY LOOK HOW SEXY V6 IS.

Don't worry, after about 10 or 12 years the check engine light will go back off again. :-)
Funny thing is, $30 is my budget for gas every 2 weeks, I usually only need $19-21 to fill it back up
Yet my previous car that was old enough to require the tailpipe test passed every year and I needed to put $30 in each week
Every time the "Check Engine" light went on in my old Dodge, I did and when I did it, it was still there and it wasn't doing anything unique or special... It was just looking like and being a plain old engine... I think sometimes a car or truck just wants a little attention. It wouldn't hurt to open up the hood and look under it and act all surprised and happy... Like when a little kid shows you a drawing of a purple cactus and says it's supposed to be you... If you just ignore them they will grow up to be a serial killer, puppy molester or real estate mogul or some other horrible, terrible monster trying to get attention... sometimes it's just better for everyone to just take a moment and act interested... The same with cars and most machines (except robots, I frickin hate robots).
One day that "Check Engine" light went on and I ignored it because I was all like "screw you and your dramatics you stupid needy car" and you know what happened? Probably not, unless you were the one who damaged my fuel line and I'm pretty sure it was squirrels, and not that many squirrels are DAZ members, but anyway, the whole damn car burst into flames while I was driving it and let me tell you, driving a burning car is not as much fun as the commercials make it out to be. So just a word of caution, sometimes cars and trucks and even lawn tractors and food processors can be like a crazy girlfriend/boyfriend/howlermonkeyfriend... One moment they are looking for acknowledgement and the next they are trying to stab you in the shower or bursting into flames on the highway.
Oh yeah, and if I had the $80, I'd get M6 and one of the female character bundles, but at the moment I'm kinda broke, so unless someone needs a really worn out liver (it's not mine, I found it somewhere and I'm fairly certain it's human) I won't be getting them at the moment. But I'm really glad to have seen this post, because if I had the money or someone wants to buy a used liver for $80 (plus shipping and handling) I'd really get them... I've missed every sale on them so far... So thanks for the heads up.
Really...
I mean that.
For real.
Sounds to me like the throttle body is letting in more air than it should be, if it keeps setting the code after you've done that. What really gets me about Ohio is the fact that we have to have both front and rear tags for the vehicle, while Pennsylvania and possibly one or two others around us only require the rear plate.
And doors too... Not only that you own them, that they be on the vehicle while you are driving... Madness. What happens if your car catches on fire while you are driving or you are listening to a really boring or annoying story from one of your passengers and you need to jump out? You have to struggle with the handle and the aerodynamic forces pushing against the door. No convenience there, I tell ya...
Incidentally if you just want the light to go out that's easy... Stabbing it with a number 2 Phillip's screwdriver or Torx driver will work fine. If you are really lazy you can just cover it with black duct tape like Homer Simpson does.
