thank you and i love creating them :)
In her other thread, I also did screenshots of each file of the leather shaders (mine work) and she checked, they were all in the correct folders. Mjc1016 and I couldn't figure out what was going wrong.
Something I'm wondering about...does DIM include it's own compression libraries or does it rely on the OS installed ones?
Because from what I'm seeing something has made DIM much more strict on how it deals with file names...and what happens when it encounters one it doesn't like.
My problem wasn't installing them, I've had them installed for a while now and they worked perfectly and beautifully. My issue is that since I did the DIM update for some reason Studio tell me that there are no files when I try to add them by double clicking. It keeps asking me if I want to close studio. Yes or no answer makes no difference. Yet I can add them to my project if I click on merge with scene or drag and drop so the files are obviously there (and I have followed the file path, they are exactly where they should be and have not changed in any way.). I think something in the installer changed the way Studio is seeing those files for some reason. I could be wrong but its the ONLY thing that has changed and it started happening right after I installed the update. A couple of other people have stated that it seems like the update to DIM made the criteria for how a file reads more strict? I have no idea what that means and I could be way off base. I LOVE your stuff and of course, I can still use them if I use the alternate methods of adding them but its kind of driving me crazy not knowing what's wrong lol.
Oh I totally missed the whole second page lol.
And its not just yours, there are a couple others as well that are doing the same thing. I just happen to have a lot of yours lol.
lol have to be happy you have a lot of mine, though not happy they aren't working for you. I asked some questions in the other thread so hopefully we can narrow down the cause
Hi everyone.
I have to re-install the Windows, and every single graphic software that I re-installed works properly, but Daz. I download DIM, but when I exe it, it just shows an empty dialogue box. I've attahed a printscreen of it. I use Daz professionally, so I'm in dispair. It's quite weird, Daz always worked nicely in my PC.
Thanks
Try downloading isntead of immediately installing, then run the isntaller locally.
Hi everyone,
I am having problems with DIM installing the new Studio 4.10 update on my Mac. I am running High Sierra 10.13.2 (the latest update). It seems that when I migrated to my new Macbook Pro, DIM is not able to install. I did install it manually after a few failures by DIM, but now my PostgreSQL CMS cannot be established. I was hoping that the install from DIM would fix the problem. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Bill
Is that the MacOS version that no longer supports 32-bit applications? Daz is aware of the issue there.
I find this relies heavily on your system's overall setup. Where the default install goes to C:\ drive, I had to put it on my E:\ drive to work. About a half hour of toil and trouble to get things installing again.
I've got 5 drives.
C:\ OS & AV.
D:\ User files
E:\ Program Files (Yes, all of them)
F:\ Stuff that must load now now.
G:\ Star Citizen
Failed downloads through DIM continue to be a problem that I didn't used to have.
The particular item doesn't really matter, because the program is very arbitrary in what will fail and what won't. Sometimes updates simply will not download. What I've discovered is that if you sit and watch the download the moment it fails if you then immediately requeue it the download will sometimes pick up at the failed point and continue.
I have not yet been able to discern any logic to what products will fail. It may be D-force items, figures, HDR backgrounds, or textures.
Whatever the problem it is very real and very annoying.
