military and custom patches or decals

i'm looking to make a patch/ painted decal for a military faction that isn't in the list and i was wondering if there was a way i could use MS paint or something to make a decal like a flag of some sort that isn't in the products list. Another thing i am wondering if any one knows where i could get a Russian modern day tank or APC of some sort i ask because i haven't found any

TF3DM has a couple of T-90's and there is a T-14 over at GrabCAD. I'm certain there are others available if you are willing to pay.

OK I am not quite catching what you are wanting with the first part of this, but Sketchup's 3D warehouse has several models of newer russian tanks including the T72, T80, T82, T90 and several versions of each as well as several APC's. You would need a copy of Sketchup to convert the items to obj files to use in Studio and Poser. I have several props that started out this way.

    Edited to correct Tank names.

Well there was this back in the day http://www.daz3d.com/decalmaster which worked well but now studio has two ways to do this without such a tool.  The first is to go the the texture you're interested in adding the patch to and using the drop down menu select edit in Layered Image Editor. Then you can add a layer with the decal/patch image (assuming it has a transparant background).  It won't add bump or displacement though, so it will look flat. Good for a sticker, not realistic for a sewn on patch.

The other way, if your using Iray is to use an Iray decal node (under the Create menu item).  timmins.william (a.k.a. Will) has a tutorial in the forums on how to make that work.  Personally I've had some difficulties figuring it out but he highly recommends them so once you figure them out they seem to be very useful.

That sounds like something that would be better done in photoshop or GIMP ... if you have either one of them. If not I would suggest the Everyday Labels and signs that Serene Night suggested.
