Carrara challenge 24: Either "Under the Sea" or "Out of the Box"
This month's Carrara challenge offers a choice of themes and approaches. Either depict a scene in which your "camera" is wet (for example, depict an underwater scene like Atlantis or a mermaid) or depict a scene that can be created with Carrara default objects, native content, and modeling tools (thus, out of the box). For the underwater scene, the Daz store offers some great items like Dartanbeck's "Underwater Realms" http://www.daz3d.com/carrara-environkit-underwater-realms, 3DUniverse's "Dolphin" http://www.daz3d.com/dolphin , and Sickleyield/Fuseling's "Mermaid clothes genesis." http://www.daz3d.com/mermaid-clothes-genesis
You can find the Challenge WIP thread here.
And, there are some prizes, including Daz goodies and Dartanbeck sponsorship.
1st Place: $100.00 towards DAZ 3D owned item(s)
2nd Place: $ 50.00 towards DAZ 3D owned item(s)
3rd Place: $ 25.00 towards DAZ 3D owned item(s)
Honorable Mention (4th place): $10.00 towards DAZ 3D owned item(s)
Here is a web pic to inspire.

Does anyone have some suggestions for a tribute image for the old shows that they used to have at Aquarena Springs near San Marcos, Texas? Or any other underwater amuzement parks?

RE: underwater lighting - here are some video Bryce tutorials for underwater scenes. I bet many of the same concepts apply more generally.
Valandar's new sea dragon is a perfect fit for this month's theme.
