Why do they have to do this to me three days before pay day when I have exactly no spare money at all. Not even for a $1.99 platinum club item! :'(
Yeah... I finally gave in yesterday and picked up Captain Charisma. Wish I had fought myself away from the shopping cart for just one more day....
I signed up for Connect and never used it. I got the coupon anyway. And you don't need to use Connect to download what you buy.
I "bought" a couple of Connect-only encrypted freebies but my DAZ Studio PC is not internet connected so I've never downloaded or used them. I didn't get a coupon

If it was the same as mine it doesn't expire until midnight (DAZ time) tomorrow 17 April. I think it is a one time use though.

Silly question, but have you been using Connect to install stuff, jimlin? Could be that?
I like Connect. It makes a lot of sense installing things as-and-when I use them, with the greyed icons right there to remind me. Then being able to rip-out unused things to keep it all on the SSD or just to keep the menus smaller. I find the Smart Content search bar to be a tad prissy, so only installing exactly what I'm using for a bunch of scenes is a scroll-saver. It's kind of like GOG in that respect, buying sales stuff to play with way later.

I feel the same way. I like using DAZ Connect, but the main obstacle, ironically, isn't DAZ Connect itself but rather Smart Content not displaying older content.
Aye. I think they've been updating the back catalogue as they go along. Presumably everything will eventually get Connected.
Yeah, that's the mailshot, though. Maybe if you haven't actually been using it to download stuff, it ain't applicable? I'm sure your ticket will sort it out.
I'm not sure what criteria it used to deciced who got the discount, but while I got the code my wife didn't. The only difference is that I've actually used connect to download content and some metadata updates and she's only ever logged in once on her account for a single metadata update.
That being said, combined with the other discounts today I just managed to use the code to cut my wishlist in half. Down to 140 items again. Mostly got a bunch of stuff I wishlisted during MM that I couldn't get at the time. :)
If Nobody (person who posted above you) got it and you didn't, I'd file a support ticket. You used it as much as the other people who are getting the discount. Go for it!

You may be right on the criteria being actually using it. I used Connect to redownload my library after I got frustrated with all the double installs in D|S and the coupon worked for me.

I grabbed a ton of stuff AND a gift card. Ended up getting several crazy deals at once, saved a total (with all the discounts added up, plus the connect coupon) of $258 and essentially only paid for the gift card. I'm looking forward to Lee 7, but other than that...my wallet and library need a rest. It was a good finale...

I don't know how they decide on these things. I only log in to connect when it says my configuration has changed and I need to re-authenticate. Maybe this bug has earned me some savings?
I didn't go as crazy as some people but I did get the SimTenero Particle bundle even though I have't done any animations for ages. Perhaps this will inspire me to try animating again. And I couldn't resist that wonderful 50s Diner.
I log on everytime. I don't think they collect what you do so much but only update your content, eg I had to write a 25 step set of instructions to say how to replicate a bug I encountered in a follow up to a DAZ crash ticket I wrote last week. Lots of times I'll leave DAZ running and logged on for hours and days.
Except that you won't receive the offer unless you already have 4.9 and used it. Though I do think that "Connect only" content hasn't exactly set the Daz world on fire. Haven't seen anything connect only for weeks.
...never installed 4.9 so guess I missed out.
Something about it setting up folders for Connect, messing with custom runtime/library setups, and issues with Iray lighting put me off.
My coupon said it didn't expire until tonite at midnight so I was waiting until today to use it and the orange banner is gone and there is no message in my inbox anymore. How do I get it back because I don't have the code to use now?
Check the messages in your account. It should be there. At least that's where they showed up in the past. I used mine yesterday, so it doesn't show anymore and I can no longer verify. Otherwise, I'd send support a ticket.
