Plushies..... IRAY?

Oh yes! :)

Hi everyone, as an homage to Littlefox's plushies line, I whipped up a base shader for Iray for the critters!

I must say, they look fantastic to this day. (IMHO)

I will get this packed up and out as a freebie today for everyone to have fun with.
They will require that you swap out 2-3 maps as the color maps and bump maps from the original packs are needed.

I don't have any of these, but I can't help wondering what they'd look like with LaMH fiberhair for extra fuzziness.

Darn cute....make it short and dense.

    I would tend to agree!
Density would have to be decent enough for coverage - plushes don't do good with that "needs rogaine look" like I have, LOL

I did Rufus in Blender a while back...tried to find the render, but have come up empty...he looked great.  All I can remember is it made my machine crawl, I had it so dense.  I probably could have gone a bit less dense, but having waited a couple of hours, I just didn't want to redo it.

I can't remember exactly which thread...I think it's in the LAMH official thread, but Kendall (I think) made some fur recomendations...I'd start with those for density but make it a bit shorter...possibly two shave groups, too.

Thanks, Traveler!  Just downloaded them and will have to try them out on my plushies!  And, oh, I love the LAMH idea!

    Greetings,

    Oh yes! :)

Hi everyone, as an homage to Littlefox's plushies line, I whipped up a base shader for Iray for the critters!

That does look adorable, but..I don't recognize that plushie!  As a fox fan, I have to ask...is that just a plushie that hasn't gotten moved over yet?

Thanks muchly!  I've found that lots of older items look really nice when brought over to Iray and given a little bit of texture love!
