@marble - pretty sure I'm going to get the same silent treatment. It's been 2 days. On the upside with the extra video card I've been able to get it to run... some. But I can't do what the tutorials say I can, and that is my disappointment.
I dislike how when you run the autofit everything becomes shrink plastic. Yes, there are ways to make that better but often times when I'm working with Aiko 3 clothing and they fit on her, ther's no shrink plastic. If the modeller put in draping, they stay. I'm not sure why that was lost in the modern translations, but it certainly has been lost.
One thing I've been doing is sizing up the character to fit the clothing, parenting the clothing to the character, then resizing the character to be the right size. Then I drape. I have the full version of dynamic cloth control so I might also tell the clothing to shrink but unless it's a piece that likes to explode and keep getting bigger (they're out there) I haven't had to do that so much.
I've only tried the DynCreator on a couple things but haven't gotten any of them to work "correctly" yet.
1 item wouldn't convert at all, another turned to goo when it draped and the other gave an error every time I started to drape.
The only thing I've ever really got to work was the dynamic sheet here in the store, but I'll keep trying with DynCreator as I just want to add some realistic wrinkles and some slight draping to clothes. For me it doesn't have to be perfect, but I'd like to get a little better than shrink-wrapped.
Anyways, on the 1 product I got to drape (but turned to goo) I noticed that When I raised it up on the Y axis to give it some fall before it started to collide, the clothing never fell from that starting point. The shoulder straps stretched as if putty but the top of the straps never came down to meet the shoulders. I don't know if it's that way with all items created from DynCreator or if it was just a fluke with that 1 piece.
Weird. I've had good luck with most of the stuff I've converted. A few things 'sploded.
If it turns to goo, you probably need to change the characteristics. Things I've found: you probably want dampening (I think it's called) set to at least 1. Otherwise clothing tends to bounce very dramatically and absurdly. If stuff is clipping too much, use thickness.
Unfortunately I've not had the money to pick up the full dynamic plug-in so I don't have access to the options :(
Soon though, I hope
