How Many Daz Products do You Own?

Just happened to be searching for an item in my product list and to my surprise discovered that as of last week (the end of the March Madness sale) I had 500 items downloaded, with over 100 in the queue to download for scenes in my head that I'm not ready to do yet for whatever reason.

Pretty large collection for something that I figured was going to be just a side hobby in Aug of last year, and would only need maybe a few dozen items at most. LoL.

So what is the size of your Daz collection, and how long have you been at it?

Hm, let's see. Looks like I have 3983 items since I joined in October of 2004.

So you are on track to beat me easily by the time you are a member for 12 years.  :)

    Ciao

3110 since August 2014. Far too many in my view, but at least 'I need...' isn't going to be an adequate excuse to stop me reining it in!

1320 items since Dec 2014. Huh. A piker compared to some. ;)

I'm beginning to not feel so badly now.   I was starting to think a support group might be in my future, but the constant discounts and sales are really insidious.  When I see some of the amounts I'm saving, a hundred bucks here and there doesn't seem like a big deal.

my normal answer to these question is  too many  and too long.    (too long being because some of my oldest purchases are from before the product library record starts)

87 pages in my Product Library, since 2014 .....

    1060 since Aug 2015.

    Oh dear.

I did the exact same "I'll only need a couple of characters and I'll just pick one generation and that's all I'll need for references" thing. And then I saw the results and then came Blender, and...

I don't use dimm or Connect  but according to my Product Library I have 47 pages of Daz content about 35% are Daz freebies I'm guessing., (So thank you very much Daz for those freebies)

But if I count all my 3d content products, including the ones I have purchased at other stores or the freebies i got off other sites,my total is more like this.  I have 3 - 2tb Storage drives completely full of content. (Yes that is completely full)

I have 1- 2TB drive that is my active installed Daz only content that I work from.  and 1- 3 TB  for my active poser content only drive.  and 1 -1TB  Main drive for combined content for daz and poser that I regularly add and remove content in for my working projects& animations..  ( can anyone guess why I don't want someone else like Daz installing content in default locations with conncect? Because it will mess up my content directories.. Duh! )

So my guess is I have more content than I can actually count.. But that hasn't seem to slow my hunting  & gathering of more 3d content any :)

    Greetings,

Not sure what measurement you're using; DIM has multiple entries for some products unfortunately, but shows 6,022 installed, with 516 waiting to download and install (mostly old V4/M4 products that I'd only use by conversion).  My product library has 149 pages, of which 8 pages were added just this March/April.  I also have 918 items from 'rosity.  [Edit: Using 'Connect' inside DAZ Studio itself, it says I have 4,889 products installed, and 851 Available.  Not sure why that last number is so different...]

I started in February of 2012, just after Genesis had been released and DAZ Studio Pro was made free.  It was a crazy time...

Up through the end of 2014, I think, I'd earned (off various 3D-related sources) as much as I'd spent, within ~$100.  That hasn't been close to true in 2015 or 2016, though.

I am very much an addict. :-/

  • 1377 Since December 2014. Never thought I'd break 100. Tried Poser a few years back and couldn't figure, make it work. Got frustrated and gave up. I figured my Daz experience to be the same, especially with a free download of program. Boy was I and my wallet worng.

Well, this is embarrassing but I now have 8914 items installed per the DIM. I've been a Dazaholic since the beginning of time. I just can't seem to kick the habit.   Vendors should love me......Azoo

According to my product librayr 1490 items plus about 300 or so from other places and about 500 freebies (might be more I don't really keep track of how many of those I have).   the only reason I know 500 is in the ballpark is because I wiped my pc and have to add them all back yet lol. I started last september so 7 months. (that PC club is dangerous!)  Dim says 2259 but there are files for one item in several places I am sure as I have a lot of v4 and m4 stuff that is mixed between the daz side and the poser side of the library

    534 from '06 to Feb '14

    4,506 since Feb '14

    1,136 @ Renderosity since Feb '14

500+ @ RDNA (small overlap [40-50] with Daz due to merger) since Feb '14

SUGGESTIONS: Join PC+ and Prime during promotion. Purchase only sales items. Liberally put all desired items in cart (ignoring trepidation) so that the hidden savings appear. Wait until the last hour to make a purchase; (last minute discounts or Flash sales sometimes appear). Download and use Fixmypcmike's bookmarklets Wishlistify and My Products. http://3dwishlist.com/bookmarklet

Way too many! I've only been here since December 2015 and already have over 38 pages in the product library (quite a few are freebies and cheapie M4/V4 things). I think DIM said something about 2500 installed and another 1000 to be downloaded (I hit that 90% off Dreamlight sale pretty hard just after Christmas).

But, but...everything was on sale or free! LOL

None.  Ref 1.1 Bullet #2.    Over the years I have made 435 DAZ Store orders and have over 75 pages of DO's in my product library.

  • MelanieLMelanieL Posts: 7,727

Well according to the main Store page I own 3502 of the currently-available products (including bundles) - but I have more because quite a few of my early purchases were things which have since been removed from the store (Generation 1/2/3 retirements, departed vendors, etc). I joined in early 2010 but only picked up freebies for several months (there used to be more than nowadays). My biggest "mistake" was to join the Platinum Club - things seem so much cheaper and therefore  so much more desirable when they are at a discount! blush

    Still below 1000.

  • WilmapWilmap Posts: 2,917

My product Library has 73 pages and Dim says I have 3539 items installed. Plus all the items I have bought from other stores since 2010.

Way too many - a lot don't get used. I even forget what I have got!

DIM has over 11,000 files, my Product Library has 195 pages.

There are numerous items that are not yet Connect-ready - morph packs and the bases for the fourth generation figures for example, and the third too I think.

7300+ at DAZ, about 5000 from other stores, since 2008.

    *covering my face in shame*

Been using Daz since Oct 2014... 92 pages in my Product Library.  Add in a couple dozen items from other places and yeah.... there's a reason my Visa loves me.... cheeky

Just over 1000. In two years? Three maybe? I don't know. I actually (out of boredom) put it in a spreadsheet a few weeks ago.... which reminds me, need to add today's freebie to the list!

33 pages in my product library.  It would be more but I've managed to control my addiction to Alessandro Mastronadi's creations for a while now.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

Maybe Daz can create something like this: https://steamdb.info/badges/?badgeid=13

P.S. I like that punchline: "Get disappointed in your life"

  • 3340. Just from DAZ. Probably at least half again that amount (maybe closer to 3/4) if you add in Rendo, CP, and RDNA (pre-merger purchases) stuff. My content library overfloweth. My order history only goes back to January of 2011 for some reason, but I first discovered DAZ in 2008 or so, soooo.... that's only 417.5 items on average from DAZ a year. ;-)

Whoa, that's AWESOME!  I like my line for Skyrim:

    image The Elder Scrolls V: SkyrimAppID: 72850, Game $0.02 $19.99 859.8h 92%

That's a 'price per Hour of play: $0.02'...  Yeah, that's about right. :)

p.s. @maxamillion ... The bookmarklets are mine, actually.  And yeah, I totally lived out of 'Wishlistify' during the MM sales.  It's how I got my wishlist down to 2 items...although it's back up to 4 already...

    Since July 2002 - 183 product pages = 182 x 40 + 36 last page = 7316.

Explains why it's taking so long to create shortcuts from Connect installed products to the Daz Content Library.

Roughly 1200 - 1300 if 32 pp by 35-40 items per page is an accurate approximation.

Been a member for about a decade.  That's still enough $ to buy a small vehicle. smiley

I kinda like the Connect feature.  I run across items that I had no clue about.  And a lot of my installed files are for Poser only, so DS gets "new" old stuff sometimes.

@CypherFOX My apologies. Thanks for clearing that up. I almost added (Morgan) in parentheses because I remembered your name, but I thought that might be namedropping (as if we were buds, ha). Thank you so much for the bookmarklets. I used to spend an hour or two on big sales. Now, I just load up wishlistify and click it: Ten pages of products become one. During MM, my life was made so much easier because of you. Keep up the great work! Now, if the wishlist has a parameter filter, life would be even simpler.

7,976 listed in DIM, since late 2005 - some were 'objects of opportunity', like the time DAZ put the entire Bryce catalog on sale for $35. (I know just enough about Bryce to be able to shut it down blush, but one of these days . . .). The product library shows 183 pages.
