Year 1: What is missing for G3F now ?

I’ll start by saying that I’m impressed with the speed of the G3 market.

After one year, we have many things for G3. Lets focus on G3F: many (I mean MANY) girls, many outfit covering most styles, almost all main G3F char , except a “Monique 7 “like person, many morphs, Most things for migration (autofit like)…

G3M is a bit behind but I don’t worry seeing the speed of development. We focus to the G3F content here.

But what is missing most for you guys (in term of G3F relative content)?

For me, the long awaited thing is:

----> Creature creator for G3

----> Gen x3 like to get the skins+MORPH of a V4/G1/2 to G3

----> Faces : unfortunately, I’m feeling that there is not enough diversity in term of faces. (Very) few pop out when I discover them in the shop: lets say for exemple recently: Clara, Mei lin, wich where really different.  When I see what came out for V4, I’m dreamin to see the same for G3….’ (see Mihrelle wich just arrived here recently and what he can do at rendo…)

of course, I'm never tired of seeing more creatures, more ultradetailled sci-fi outfits, more extravagant fantasy outfit (BUT NO swimwear!!) cheeky

    More real-world skins like Cailin. I have several G3F characters but I keep going back to Cailin.

    mei lin should answer to this wish...her skin can look very real-worldish

  • For me, what's really starting to age these character sets are the number of polygons. We really need the ability to create morphs at a higher resolution. Legs, muscles and breasts/nipples are particularly bad and still don't have the correct shape because the polygon edges are not aligned with these features (and some areas simply don't have polygons at all for thoes features). V4 and G2F were FAR superior to G3F in this respect. But creating morphs at a resolution of a few thousand polygons just doesn't cut it anymore. I often feel like I'm back in the 90's when using G3F.

    I also feel that poses should be more advanced. There should be a way to set poses in a proportional way. Right now, there are poses for several different characters and they don't work well across different figures. I realize not all poses can be made proportional, but something tells me there's a way to make this better. And that's leaving out different kinds of shoes.

    This next item is something I wish was in DAZ Studio rather than something I'm waiting for specifically for G3F. I'd like it if it were possible to model clothing on figures other than G3F base. When you first fit the item on the figure, it should apply the bones and weight maps as is. But instead, it uses the zeroed G3F figure and the bones and weight maps come out all distorted. Also, it should apply a reverse mapping of all the morphs in the same way that you can do this with new morphs.

    Reverse Source Shape from Target (in the Transfer Utility more options area, with the Source Shape set) for modelling around non-default shapes; Reverse Deformations in the Morph Loader Pro options under each morph for reversing out other morphs and poses when importing a new morph.

    I need alien and creature skins. An alien or creature base would be awesome. I have enough real-world women for DAZ Studio.

  • Carrara support.

    I my mind, creature creator for G3F , and of course HD , should alow both fantasy and alien morphs with packed skins, several for both theme.

    Ah thanks. I'll give that a shot. And yeah, the one for new morphs is great. That's the one I was talking about in my original comment.

    I would like a gen 3 female male morph.

    For me, waiting for GenX support is the main one. More heels, more realistic lookng hair options, styles that haven't been done. Did I mention heels?

    Other than that there isn't much I need. With the simtero randmizer I have lots of unique head morphs now. I have a body morph that I really like that is my go to figure. I have nails covered with the Luna nail addon. I have gens covered from rendorotica. With all the clothing I have for V4, genesis 1 and genesis 2, I am pretty much set, but always on the lookout for new, exciting addons. And with the dynamic plugin from renderosity, I lots of new dynamic options also.

    I am on the lookout for new environments more than anything.

  • 1. Creature Creator + creature skins (long overdue).

    2. Aging Morphs (by Zev0).

    3. Gen x3.

    4. Anatomicals. Skeletons, guts, etc.

    More realistic Asian/ bi racial Asian from Indian, Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and veitenese. not the western stero typical oriental south eastern types or those with concave faces.

    I was just going to point that out too ... I have it and apparently it's a paid product? I thought it was just part of G3. Signs that you're shopping too much.

    I'd like to see paired males for the females that are missing: Male teens to fit Josie and Julie, and then once/if Aiko and Keiko return, Hiro and a male Keiko (Keiichi?)

    How about a cardigan with a good array of morphs and textures, different thicknesses, colours? I can see why this is a problem with conforming clothing, but it would be good to see something that really works. Autofit does mean I can use stuff from other generations, but usually with distortions.

    This.

    Although Zev0's merchant resource is great; based off jeane, and I use jeane quite a lot anyway.

    I suspect when Tween Julie does arrive, a Tween Justin may come at the same time, or shortly after. However Jayden might get skipped in Generation 7, since I can not see DAZ releasing a male without the paired female, and Josie is already out. If a Hiro comes with Aiko only time will tell.

    Sorry, if you didn't mean on loading a new morph then I'm not sure what it is you want to reverse out or why.

    Like to see "200 Plus - Head & Face Morphs for Genesis 3 Male" like the one for G3F.  The official DAZ head and face for G3F and G3M are just too limited.

    ----> Faces : unfortunately, I’m feeling that there is not enough diversity in term of faces.

    This seems to be the biggest area with opportunities for improvment.

    -> Character specific expression morphs:

    Expressions should lead to more diverse wrinkles and folds between the eyes and on the forehad.

    In reality it is exactly those folds that give a human being a distinctive look because those wrinkles and folds that show up with different emotions are different from one human being to the other.

    -> Character specific aging morphs.

    Each person ages differently. This means the folds around the mouth, the cheek and wrinkles around the eye will be different based on the general mood the person mostly had. The more a person ages the more visible such folds become. Instead of one extreme aging morph there could be several character specific aging morphs for different stages in life that offer some subtle (!) changes.

    - - -

    I would hope to see more complete character packages that include character specific expression and aging morphs.

    The benefit of having character specific age morphs and expressions would also be that they work perfectly with the character they were originally designed for.

    - - -

    SideNote:

    An example: I do not expect all artists to now create characters with morphs for every 10 years like 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 70.

    It would allready be an improvement if characters would offer a version free of wrinkles at 20 and another version with some first wrinkles showing up around the eyes, cheeks forehead at 30.

    Another artists may prefer to create a character at age 40 and then add a more extreme version with morphs for age 60.

    Preteens, and appropriate clothing.  There needs to be an equivalent to The Kids 4, or millenial kids for G3.
