I absolutely love Sloshworks new ice cream parlor!  Miranda's Ice Cream Parlor has that 50s retro look that will be perfect for slightly historic renders.  Looking at the promos, I think it would be fairly easy to update it a little for more current renders, too.  I love this set.  Immediately in the cart it went.  And, we get both 3Delight and Iray shaders.  I love those ice cream props!  I can't believe how many props Slosh gave us either.  There are a ton of them.  Nice job, Sloshworks!!!

edit: fixed the link to the set

I have no idea.  I have Carrara, but it is in my list of programs to figure out.  So far, all of my attempts to do anything in carrara haven't been very successful.  It has been awhile since I tried.  I'm amazed you guys get things to work in there.  I don't know anything about converting from DS to Carrara.  I imagine it would look good if you could do it, though.

    Looks good.  Drags up memories.

I remember in the early '50s my father taking me to an ice cream parlor with a long bar with thick chromed metal aqua colored padded, backless stools, bolted to the tiled floor, heavy duty milkshake machines and chromed soda dispensers.  It was a "Dolly Madison" ice cream parlor.  The stools were taller than I was at that age.  Sadly it closed before I was in my teens.  The building has since been an auto parts store and is now an auto sound system store.  But every time I pass that building I remember it fondly as the Dolly Madison ice cream parlor.

It was sort of like the image below.  And I remember that the building exterior was (and still is)  aqua colored with rounded corners like the early bus stations.

Thank you so much to all that have commented so far... It's been a rather strange day for me starting with being woke from a short sleep by my smoke alarm... Everything is fine, but it did lead to a busy day dealing with fire department and building management and a/c repairmen.  So, I haven't been able to take the time to visit this thread (thanks knittingmommy).  I am finally off to bed again, and I'm exhausted so I'll keep it brief for now.  I sincerely hope anyone who gets the set enjoys it.  I put a load of work into it and tried to provide as much bang for your buck as I could.  The ice cream was the hardest to get right, and I'm still not 100% sure I pulled it off.  Anyway, I'm going to get some sleep, as I think I might not be making as much sense as I want to be.  I will visit the thread again, for sure.

Thanks again and share those renders!

Oh, Slosh, glad you are okay and just worn out from all the excitement.  I can imagine you are done in!  It sounds like you had a busy day!  I hope you managed to get some sleep!
