Lord of Snow and Texture Addon

I have it in my cart and would really love to purchase the texture add-on but there is no mention of .mc6 files or even .pz2 files.   So, while the outfit will work natively in Poser the texture add-on won't?  Just wanted someone to confirm before I get both, otherwise I'm afraid I'll have to pass on the textures

In my prduct library I have 2 installers

Lord of Snow Outfit Textures DS 367.15 MB download download & install
Lord of Snow Outfit Textures Ps 366.05 MB download download & install

Edited to add I have just manually downloaded the Poser zip, and it contains a runtime with A material folder with the MC6 files and a texture folder with the Jpgs.

Thank you Chohole, so did you install and can verify there are poser compatible files for applying the textures?  I only ask again because on the product page it just states there are .duf for Iray and 3Delight files.

Yes it is a Poser runtime inside the Content folder   with folders to go in the Poser runtime of choice containing the MC6 and neccesary texture files.  I don't use DIM, I always download manually and use WinRar to unzip just the runtime folder to whichever of my runtimes I want the item in.

I will email to let them know the product page should be updated.

Thanks Chohole, that's what I've been hoping to hear!  Yay, new clothes, textures, character and hair for M4!

Yes    They jumped into my cart.

Oh Chohole, if you're going to email them let them know that there are some .cr2 files in the Geometries folder of the Lord of Snow outfit, probably forgotten there.   That will probably need updating.   I, too, unzip and then transfer to Runtimes of choice so I tend to see these things out of habit from my past beta-testing days.

The hidden cr2 files are the ds only fur bases.   Testers kept loading them in poser and the fur was missing... they're hidden so the ds wearable file can find them and auto load the fur, but the poser users can't see them.

Ah thanks for letting us know LLF.  I wish I had seen your post before I sent the email.  So poser users can safely remove them, to lighten the hit on our runtimes?

Ok, nvm and sorry about that, as a Poser use I'm just not used to seeing .cr2s in the Geometries so I didn't think DS users had a different setup. :)

  • Yup, poser users don't need that, so remove away!

I installed this and the clothing through Daz Connect, but when I try to apply the materials, I get prompted to find a lot of the textures and I don't know where they are. Besides, I don't want to have look for them all the time. Is it because I installed through Daz Connect and it needed to be installed through the DIM? The product page did say it was Daz Connect ready.

I installed the additional textures with DIM and it looks like they are in the wrong place - under G3F/Clothes/Michael 4/Clothes... I haven't had a chance to try it yet and I am at work, I just noticed it when I was Catagorising things yesterday, so I don't know if the .duf is coded to that location or not - I'd suspect not.
