Lord of Snow for M4 or G3?
l actually grabbed the whole set without further consideration (since it's awesome) and only realized, just now, that the promo image for it says Iray and Genesis 3.
Now I'm confused. It the outfit for M4 or G3 ? Or is there an actual G3 version?

Hi, i would say it is just that the wrong overlay was used. The product is for Michael 4 and Hiro 4. No mention of Genesis 3 in the product description.
It is for M4 only. It will have to be converted to work on Gen7 by going M4>G5>G6> then G7
It is a fantastic looking set. I debated a while with myself, because I mostly use G2 in my rendering at the moment, but then decided to buy it, nevertheless.
Autofitting to G2/G3 gives the usual problems; a version rigged for G2/G3 would certainly give some sales.
I'm new to this, but this product appears to offer a direct M4 - G3M (G7) route.

I hope so, as it's one of the reasons I picked it up. (not installed yet)
Has anyone tried this on G3M?
ME, TOO
Now they should make one for g3m and give it to all who bought the m4 version for free because of the wrong promo image
and what tells us what is right? the promo image or the description? I am a bit angry about this issue
As always, if anyone did buy this thinking it was for G3M, even though the title says quite clearly "Lord of Snow for Michael 4" then there is always Daz 3D's guarantedd money back option.
well, maybe it will work for G2M if one has M4 for G2M?
If only he was for G3M..... : (
Isn't it the same clothing as http://www.daz3d.com/night-guard-for-genesis-2-males ? Just for older figures and better textures? Why is clothing even being made for M4?
because M4/V4 are still the primary figures used by Poser users.
Because this set was being worked on before Daz bought out RDNA, (and would have otherwise been sold at RDNA) and RDNA was primarily for Poser users right up until the end, and because many people still use the gen4 figures. Why does this bother you?
No, it's not. The set is also fantasy, but looks different from the one you mentioned.
As for you second question, why not make something for M4? The character is still widely in use, and I use it often in addition to the G-Generations.
The character, clothing set and textures jumped in my cart and were downloaded so quickly that I have been able to troubleshoot on a couple of issues already.
Umm... the name of the product is "Lord of Snow for M4", isn't it? Yes, the wrong watermark was used, but other than that the product description is quite lengthy and very specific about what the outfit is, what figure it's made for, and what's required to use it. Just curious how many bought it without knowing that the furry pauldrons require the LAMH Free Player?
Only for the DS version, the Poser version uses the hair room.
I was just looking at that. Do you need the full plugin or can you use the free player. I have had the free player but frankly never used it.
The free player works with all the LAMH presets, but be aware that it will not work in Iray. If you want to render the fur in Iray, you will have to convert it to obj first. The free player can also do that.
Thanks BeeMKay
Actually the creaters stated that this was not needed and that you should be able to render the fur/hair without creating an obj first.
It is now? Wow!
I haven't had the time to do a test render with the set yet, but it's great o know that they found a way around that obstacle.
Where does it say that? I read the entire product page and I didn't see that stated anywhere.
That's EXTREMELY unlikely.
Well not on the product, I thought Kendell, one of the creaters of LAMH said that in a thread a while back.
No, it's true. I did read the entire product description page!
Chuck: ... I meant the claim that the product automagically displays in Iray. ;)
Thought so...Just thought I'd check :) And I agree, very unlikely indeed.
