For some reason a lot of my textures have disappeared. When I click on a model it comes up with a dialogue box asking for missing files. What is the best way to fix this?

Are the missing files anywhere to be fund on your system?

No I don't think so

You may need to reinstall the content then, assuming it was working before - it sounds as if soem of it was deleted somehow.
