I need a tester

I have been learning Blender, and I recently made a dining Table and Chair. I've textured it and packed it up to be able to be used in DAZ(I hope). As something more than just naked obj and mtl files. I just need a kind indiviual to to test it out for me to make certain it will work on other's systems before I post up as a freebie. The textures are for Iray and I use daz 4.8. You of course, would be allowed to keep said item. Please either respond to the thread, or send me a PM.

Thanks!

Looks nice. I'd be willing to test if you want, drop me a PM.

Thank you, but my first trial was bit buggy. So once I've made a few fixes, I'll be glad to do a second round of testing and inclue you in it. :D

nice modeling and I'm glad you're discovering Blender because it's the greatest 3D application in the universe (am i biased? maybe!)

I did notice your cloth simulation does not look like it "finished."  It's gripping the table at in inline where it falls off and if it was loose on the table it should just fall straight down towards the floor. Was this intentional?

No actually it wasn't. I think I mucked up the draping somehow, so I'm going to re-do it so it looks right. @FSMCDesigns, also pointed out that it's not quite hanging parallel to the ground, which I didn't even notice, so I need to fix that too. But this is good. I want constructive critisim. I'm kind of a perfectionist, so fresh/more expirenced eyes will notice things I've missed.

I'm hoping if I can get the hang of all this; static props first, then I'll be able to eventually make clothing. But that's a future goal, I have to learn rigging. >_< I do, however genuinely appreciate all the tips I've gotten so far. :)

the only way to get better is take criticism, I only wish I knew that sooner (or now)

once you get bit by the blender bug (say that fast) or any modeling program it's very freeing. I spend less time making something I need than I do finding something close to it, unless I start with a chair and model a room around it which I've done. Patience and consistency and keep at it and don't be afraid of trying a tutorial out of your comfort zone because while there are a few people who will bully you if you don't get it there are far more that will help you out when you get in over your head.

blender rigging doesn't work in DS and I just bought V7 and I'm hearing Gen3 rigging in DS is no fun. I still need to rig V4 stuff, but glasses, jewelry, shoes, bags, hand-held laser cannons, I can whip them up pretty quick and fit them to a model.

Ah that looks great! Thank you so much, I'm glad it works well in 3dl. :D

Yeah, I kinda figured I'd have to make the thing in Blender and then take it into DS to rig it. I'm not quite there yet, but eventually.

Since zombietaggerung was so nice to let me test this set, I figured I would post a quick render.

I redid the UV mapping a bit and added my own textures including some gold accent on the table to show the potential here. It's a good mesh and will be a good addon if ever released
