Trying to Autofit the Geneisis Supersuit cape to either G2 or G3 ends up with a weird warpy cape.

Ah, well, I don't have the capes. I can imagine.

Capes and really flowy dresses are the two cases I bite the bullet and go dynamic.

I don't understand the reason for wanting a new supersuit just because G3 is the newest character.  The supersuit it wonderful.  G2 is wonderful.  But why do people think things simply have to be for the latest character?  Does the entire closet have to be recreated each time a new character comes out?

try parenting the cape to the neck or chest instead of autofitting maybe ?

JoeQuick's Golden Age is great for more Golden/Silver Age designs or more Alex Ross than the modern spandex/leather costumes/unifroms. Something along that would be nice for the current generation figs. I'd really love some more Pulp-era/Mystery Man supers costumes, ala-Rocketeer, The Shadow, or The Phantom.

And I know we can kitbash, but a few more specific to the genre products would be nice.

Also Joequick's Solar Vagabonds and Super Hero Suit for Genesis 2 Male(s) and Michael 6 by Smay are also great fallbacks as well.

The thing about superheroes, so many existing outfits might work: fantasy, scifi, military...

I mean, Doctor Strange, Cyborg, Punisher...

Karen was the super hero female so I guess that's about it.

As for G3 super hero male, I would LOVE to see one but I don't really see that happening : (

There used to be a huge library of free DC and Marvel superheroes done in Poser in the early 2000s and most of them looked very good. Marvel and DC must not of liked it though because I haven't seen or heard about that website since the early 2000s after from which they (apparently) and I took extended leave from Poser, although judging from the forums you knew if that website still existed it would be very popular.

There is a couple of superheroine suits for G2F in one product in the DAZ Store modeled after a very well known superheroine. I don't need to point out which, if you know who she is you'll regonize a pretty good job with the uniforms.

I will say I had created a toon character drawing of Einstein, in style it looked like Einstein but didn't look like other people's or businesses representations of Einstein, and I tried to put that on a t-shirt on Zazzle to sell but they wouldn't let me because of false claims of Einstein being a businesses' Intellectual Property (of course he's not he's a public figure as as such can be caricatured as public commentary under free speech laws) but I haven't the money to fight that big business' lawyers. Superheroes are different though because they are created as IP from the beginning so it's not a case of big businesses subverting free speech with lawyers and lobbyists.

    How was the movie?

It was very good, kinda long due to backstory mostly, but good. Saw it up close and in 3D and the visuals (and sound) didn't dissapoint. Wonder Woman was a treat though and her story and scenes left me wanting more. Would have liked to have seen more of Aquaman and Flash, but it made sense the amount that was included. Lex just annoyed me the first half of the movie, but I felt he came into his own the later half.

There were a few scenes where I kinda knew what was coming and it still surprized me

There were a few scenes that felt out of context, like I was missing something that pieced it together with the rest of the movie. Hopefully added footage in the bluray release will connect it more, kinda like the extra footage in the Avatar home release did.

It's hard not talking about it in forums. I spent an hour on skype after the showing with a friend in San Diego that saw it thursday, We were both like giddy school girls, LOL

I'll probably see it a few more times. The GF doesn't get into the superhero movies like I do and doesn't get into the 3D effect, but she wants to see it so that is another showtime for me, LOL.

I have an extensive DVD/Bluray collection and don't see movies at the theatre much unless it's a visual treat or a franchise I want to support, and I really want to see the next few movies in this one.

Man, I wasn't really interested in the Suicide Squad movie that much, until after the preview I saw on the big screen today, holy crap!

My experiment with Genesis Supersuit on a G3 character.

(Also experimenting with Photoshop clipping layers and Filterforge backdrop, and WOW I like Sapphire hair)

Yeah, From what I've seen on the NET, people either hate it or are okay with it. I thought the Man of Steel was a well done and great story for Superman, I even apprieciated the ending. But I feared that this one would be overshadowed by Batman. As I grow older, the more I appreiciate Superman as a character and the less attached I became of my original hero, Batman. There is so many questionable "heros" in TV and Movie. It is nice to have a Man with a moral compass in this day and age.

What he said but moreover, it needs to be improved upon. I would pay TOP dollar for a Genesis 3 supersuit with more options and parts like the Golden Age set. Just make it mix and matcheable enoughfor me to make nearly any golden age super out of it and I am game. SUPER game to pay for it.

Some nice capes would be good for G2 and G3...they just don't transfer well at all :(

I could use capes not cloaks (whcih there are some), for both sci-fi and superhero renders.

It's funny, I've been working on a superheroine character and having a lot of fun with the process of creating her. This lead to ideas of superhero outfits and more characters to start flooding into my dome. I literally decided just days before this thread was created that the supherhero genre will most likely be one of my main focuses from here on out.

I have proof too, I wrote about the thought in this post on my DeviantArt (http://laylo3d.deviantart.com) which predates this thread :). Liz is the superheroine chracter I've been working on, you should be able to find her easily enough on there. Although the two pics of her on DA are actually outdated. I changed her face a little bit since I posted them. For the updated pictures of Liz go to my blog, laylo3d.com, and look in the gallery.

It's not hard to put Genesis Supersuit or Ultra Bodysuit for G2F on Genesis 3, I imagine. So there's that.

There's also some dynamic capes and supersuits.

Those all work pretty well on the new figures. But...I'm greedy. I can never have enough superhero content. On a somewhat related note, just about 7 1/2 hours 'tilI get to see Batman v Superman. That'll be more interesting than watching hockey tonight (that's what my wife will be doing).

I was against this, but it actually looks like it will be good; glad to see Wonder Woman; hope they make a decent showing of her.

    You can reassign material zones.

Also, with a couple of decent IRAY shaders you can make em look like many of the outfits.

I've been wanting to do superhero pics for 15 years. I've gathered a few fantastic "free kits" online. I get things together, and don't do much from there. It's a general theme for my work. Guys and Gals get superhero outfits, but don't know what to do, etc. I rely on "canned" pose sets, and never seem to find what I want. Mighty Mite has a bunch of sets at Renderosity. But $10 for 10 poses adds up quickly!

Any chance of you doing a Golden Age/Mach supersuit in the future for G3M and G3F?

"I would love it if a Genesis 3 version
of the Supersuit complete with new
     Iray shaders came out?
Has anyone thought of asking the
amazing Joe Quick if he would
do a new Golden age version for Genesis 3?"

Other than new Iray shaders, why does one need
an iteration of the supersuit for genesis 3??

I am so Glad my creative objectives are not
enslaved to some inexplicable need to be using
the genesis figure with the highest version number.

Here is Marvel's "Thanos of Titan"
made with the supersuit on the perfectly useful
    Genesis 1.

This is for my, in progress, marvel based fan film.
I also plan on using the supersuit,on Gen 1 to create a "host"
of marvel's "The Celestials" who will be in the film.

Why would there need to be a genesis 3 figure under
    those costumes& armors??...

oh wait!! because  3 is higher than 2 and 1
and therefore better like the guitar amps in "spinal tap"

Nadino and I have started things a few times now, each time to find out that there were Daz originals brewing that we wouldn't be able to compete with price and marketing wise in the marketplace.

I think Nadino specifically has dumped a lot of hours trying to get the Mat zones and topology flawless on some of these abortive and abandoned efforts.

If you're patient, I think you will see daz step into this kind of superhero territory.

Tough love, why....less super hero stuff than expected ?

The holders of IP licenced Heros defend their producted with a scary amount of legal muscle.

Anything CLOSE to their protected character in a COMMERCIAL product...like Daz3D brings on an army of lawyers.

So a lot of stuff gets rejected because it is to close to protected characters

not all, but most stuff will be very generic

Some companies don't care but usually add...not for commerical use, use at own risk.

The Ultra Bodysuit is OK but with males it has some weird issues in the right upper arm area - in certain poses, chunks of it just vanish. Poke-Away is useless here because to get the suit to fit right, the arm below has to become very thin, which isn't acceptable with short sleeves. You can bet the left arm all day lomng and it doesn't hurt anything - just the right arm in certain positions.

Capes are very problematic - there are a very limited number of poses where they don't go all askew and do insane, crazy things. So far, I haven't found a cape that doesn't do this, especially when crouching, etc. Plus, the capes I've seen have very little in the way of morphs attached to them, or even basic things like making them shorter or longer.

So far, I've found ONE mask that is worth the effort - the old Genesis Harlequin mask. It's the only one that deals with changes in the brow area. I have not tried the more recent Renderosity one for M4, though.
