store suggestion - daz studio/poser tags on preview thumbnails?

...there's a lot of interesting content turning up in the store now that's Poser-only.  i clicked on five or six today only to find that they were nothing i could use.

i also know from reading the forums that people have bought Poser-specific items without realizing it--and without owning Poser.

some sort of standout visual tagging on the preview image (or below it) and on the product page might be really helpful to a lot of customers.

just a thought...

I upgraded my poser last month. so I love seeing all the new poser content. But it also it would be nice to know what character  the items support..  I like the Knights templar.  i am  assuming its for m4 or is it for Apollo? or Maxus ? it says compatibility character None. does that mean daz has no support characters?  what character wears this.. I am assuming m4 but it would be great to know for sure.

You USED to be able to filter by program in the store. That would be the best solution because thne it also fixes it for the folks looking for Cararra, Bryce etc.

It does state M4 in the description. Whoever setup the transfer forgot to check the box, I  reckon.

But some new filters and visual signs would help a lot. I'm constantly checking items for Poser compatibility. Of course, I'm actually checking for both since I use both and like to have mostly the same stuff in both runtimes.

Okay I see it way down at the bottom....wow in such small writing too..lol

I agree. back in the day when daz and poser pretty much shared the same files life was much easier working with both programs.

Actually a good number of items made for Poser work pretty well in DS. You may need to adjust the materials a bit, but overall it will work.
Figures using Poser weightmapping (like the Poser version of Star) won't work, though, so a way to distinguish those would be useful.

Many of the Mortem Vetus items initially said they were Poser-only, but that's been corrected.

But some new filters and visual signs would help a lot.

    Short version:

There is need for filters that hide some categories while still showing everything else.

HIDE category filter options could be implemented in the account area so they stick around for every visit to the store.

Preview tags would not be the most efficient solutions because you still sacrifice your time to have a look at the previews of product categories you do not want.

    - - -

    Longer version:

The current challenge with the more diverse store:

All users now have to look at many more items they may  not be interested in looking at for one reason or the other.

    The underlying issue:

The default filter options are used to

    - SHOW ONLY a specific category

What is missing are settings to permanently HIDE specific categories WITHOUT hiding items from other categories you do want to see.

    Example:

If you do activate a filter like Genesis 3 female it will not only hide all other figures like G2M, V4 as intended BUT also hide all items from other non people categories like props, environments.

-> What people would like to do is have a look at the store and HIDE some categories per default while still seeing all other product categories they want.

-> Instead of a SHOW selected category filter there is a need for more HIDE selected category filters.

-> In addtion to temporary filters on the store page there could be permanent filters activated in the account area that stick around for every time the users visits the store.
