Thanks So Much for the Royal Guard!

After some good sets of armour like the Paladin and Old World Knight, and a long time, it feels so nice to see another wonderful piece out there, for males, finally! Grabbed it the moment the set went online and it is beautifully done! Thanks, Bluebird 3D and Sarsa!
Btw, when can we have some additional textures for this wonderful set?

Good to hear that you like it, I'm probably going to pick it up too. Lots of stuff today that I want, haha. :)
Nice armor, for some reason it is not included in the Newly Mad section, separate from the bundle.
It's been typical for new DAZ figure bundles to be released during sales with the products inside the bundles not getting the extra sale discounts. This is the first time I've seen a bundle of new products that didn't also list the individual products in the sale. (Though, granted, I've only been active here for about 19 months.)
I hope this isn't a new trend, because I don't like it one bit. The bundle is a great value for five products. But I have no use whatsoever for the ladies skimp wear, no matter how beautifully modeled. The two clothing items for males, the Royal Guard and War Mage are also intricate and very well done. I might have bought one or both individually if they were part of MM and qualified for the sale discount. As it is, they are going into my wishlist and might get purchased sometime after the 60 days.
Or might not. I only dabble in the fantasy/historical renders for fun. Anything I can use for "work" purposes needs to be contemporary.

But... I must say, "Thank you, thank you, thank you!" to the PAs! It is so good to still see Genesis 2 supported with new products. And such beautifully details products at that!
I think it's specifically because DAZ doesn't want the individual items to collide with the 4+ purchase promotion they have going on today. It's strange though, since the bundle itself would earn less money than the individual items combined; and it discourages customers from purchasing up to the 4+ items threshold.
But yes, the items in question are *extremely* good. I just wish they individually counted as MM items :(
Yes! The Royal Guard is a beautiful set, I am buying today. Thank you Bluebird and Sarsa!
Agreed on the skimpwear, I'm sure it sells, but I can't use it.
I wish some enterprising PA would make a conversion set from the stiletto heels to flats--- so many gorgeous boots I can't use...He/she would make a fortune... is it even possible? Can these be taken into z brush and morphed without ruining the textures?
To add, some of those outfits would be *somewhat* tasteful and workable with a pair of pants...
This is quite common - there have been numerous sales in the past, as far as I can recall, with punches or buy so many items where a bundle has been a qualifier but its components haven't.
Well, the 2 actual fantasy outfits + the scenery makes the bundle worth the price even without counting the skimp-wear. Even those may have some components that are usable.
If you're careful with the posing, you can just go at it with the geometry editor, make the heels a separate surface(assuming they didn't come that way already) and make them invisible in the surfaces tab. The segment left will be hollow, but that ought not to be a complete deal breaker. It wouldn't be *that* hard to fix in post. And if you save it as a scene you can merge the scene and reuse it.
that is too bad because that is a really a cheesy offer. I wonder how many sales daz missed today because of the way it was offered? I was going to buy 2 of the items today,. dms-cave-of-secrets & War Mage for Genesis 2 Male.. But discovered discounts did not apply to those items separately & I have enough stuff similar to the rest of the skimpy clothing products that I don;t need or want any more of it. So to me its just not worth paying 45 bucks for the bundle when i only really needed the 2 items that were offered. .. just a shame to not offer those items separately during the MM sale.. I guess it must have all been done by design or marketing choice to make us mad!..lol
I'm really glad you like it. :)
