https://www.daz3d.com/content-cataloger-easy-ccez-for-windows-daz-studio-edition

When it was released several months ago or so I was hearing good and bad things about it. Anyone have any opinions on it?

Thanks

I picked a copy up, initial impression was not amazing tbh. It does create a catalogue but I felt like I was looking at a list more confusing than just going through the content library in  Daz! I'm sure I'm missing something though and intend to have another look at it at some point just in case the genius is hidden...

  • I've tried all the content cataloguer-organizers over the years with zero success.  They either crashed and locked up or (as KA1 mentioned) were more convoluted that the original library arrangement.  I find it much easier to...

-delete the stuff you don't use.

-be obsessive about nice-n-neat runtimes with lots of them for different types of stuff.

-play with Poser/Daz3D often enough that over the years you pretty much have your runtimes memorized...which is kinda sad, I should get a life away from the computer.

  • I have not tried it, but using the "Catagorization" option in the Daz library has made it much easier to find things... especially if you pick up textures made by other people than the original items, or want to group like items such as creatures, clothing, other things. knowing where things are makes it much faster to find them...

I second using Categories.  It takes some time to set it up if you've got a lot of content, but it's worth it.  I categorize everything as soon as I install it, so everything is in categories that make sense to me.

Quick rundown on how to use the categorization option anyone?  I'm pretty much afraid to touch anything anymore lol.

    I've never tried that ...

What I have discovered though is if one combs through the Content Library and sees something they want for a specific project, one can right-click on the icon and "copy" that ... then in the created folder where one wishes to stash the show's wardrobe; right-click in the display area and "copy". One cannot have 2 files the same name in the same folder but aside from that works quite nicely. One can easily "right-click" and delete the icon from the show's folder when it is no longer required. No content is damaged this way.

That is most helpful information thank you!
