Say it isn't so, Iray Smart Converter and Advanced Skin Managers for Genesis 3 and Super Save is only for 4.9. These 2 products look so promising and I love V3Digitimes bt IDK about 4.9, still to many issues for me.

The advanced skin managers states:
So it doesn't need 4.9. The save one does seem to require 4.9 though
I think the save one uses some functionality that was added to the scripting engine in 4.9 that didn't exist in 4.8, which is why it requires the newer version.
Hello, the smart converter will work with DS 4.8 and 4.9. The results are much better with DS 4.9 because of the render engine update. The Super Save could not work in DS 4.8 because the function allowing to read the scene name (which is the base of all) was temporarily disabled in DS 4.8.
You have probably your own reasons not to go to DS 4.9, but I don't regret it at all. It is very stable, renders better skins, allows you to install Daz Connect or install the old way... My personal preference absolutely goes to 4.9.
That's it, the script will read your DS version 4.8 or 4.9 and will adjust the setting for the version you work with.
E-X-A-C-T-L-Y !!!! The functionality does not exist in DS 4.8! Thanks for your answer !
The Iray convertor is a nice looking utility and I hope to have the G2 version soon. Love the basic convertor for the G4 and Genesis characters and I'm looking forward to trying out the features of the advanced series. :)
I've bought them both but haven't had a chance to use them. I've been grabbing the iRay converters for when I start using iRay, but most of my current work uses the 3DL engine. Is it possible to create an iRay-to-3DL converter -- essentially do everything you do now, but backwards? With more and more iRay-only items coming out, I'd gladly pay for an automtic converter.

I'd like to give a big THANK YOU to V3Digitimes for creating the Super Save addon. I've been wanting this for a VERY long time. Eeventually, I'm gonna write a plugin where DAZ studio can hook into git for revision control, but being able to add comments is a great feature. Thanks again!
I was thinking the same thing yesterday when I tried to render an IRay character in 3DL, which didn't turn out very well.
