Im new to this art thing :) but does DAZ have 3D stuff like fireballs and energy balls? Something like a character shooting something out of their body? Or should I just stay with PSD's? I have been seraching and searching and found nothing. Any help would be good. Thanks

Do a store search for 'effects' and you should get lots of useful stuff.
There are several by different vendors, some have more than the others

WILL, thanks brotha, thats what i was looking for..whos's da man? WILL IS..awesome.
Understand a lot of that kind of stuff are just images on planes, so if you're good with photoshop (or similar) you can easily make your own.
That is true, but with iRay you can easily make them emission shaders so they glow, lighting up themselves and things close by. This effect is harder to achieve using post work.
A sphere primitive with a texture of something like stylized lightning or bolts of electricity placed in the base color and emmission color. Add some bloom filter to the scene and you've got an easy and pretty cool looking energy ball in Iray.
