DIM shows 4.9 Prog shows 4.8?

My DIM is showing I have Daz 4.9 installed but when I check under About in the program it shows Daz 4.8.0.59 Pro...I've been hanging back updating to 4.9 now I'm not sure if I already have it...I'm confused, seems to be a constant state of being;)

Could you have the older 4.9 beta installed (that can be installed alongside 4.8)?

Do you see both a 4.8 and a 4.9 in your start menu?

Assuming you have first backed up 4.8, your database, etc. in case you need to get back to it...

if you were to then uninstall one or both and reinstall, does that fix your issue?

No, I never installed the 4.9 beta and only 4.8 is showing in start menu.
...but only 4.9 is showing as being installed in DIM...everything is working fine, just a little confused as to the version I'm running.

I would assume that the version number in the Help > "About DAZ Studio" would be more likely to be the correct one, since that is the actual application that you are running, (although I don't know where the version number is actually stored so I suppose it's possible to display the wrong one perhaps... but that seems less likely.)

You could also double-check by finding some feature that was added to 4.9 that doesn't exist in 4.8, and verifying that in fact that feature is/isn't there in your version.

Not sure how you got the discrepancy showing in DIM thoug, somebody else will have to answer that.

I'll do that sriesch, check on the features and also ask Help...thank you:)

The easiest way to verify which version you're running is to look at the splash screen when the application starts.  If the dominant color is green, then you're running 4.8; if it's mostly yellow, then it's 4.9.  (The splash screen will also tell you what version it is; it's baked into the graphic.)

DIM downloads the product .dsx files if they are updated, even if you have an older version installed, so if the product name has changed DIM will display the new product name even if the name was different when you installed it.
