I've been away from Daz for awhile, what is encrypted daz content ?  I tried to download the freebie bed, read through the instructions and was completely lost.  Why not just create a zip file ?  Instructions state:  Navigate to content directory that is mapped as Daz connect data or daz studio formats.  I don't have those folders, I searched everywhere.

First you need to be running the latest version...4.9.  Connect is a new feature in 4.9 and Connect content can only be used in it.

Encrypted content must be downloaded INSIDE Daz Studio. It is not available in zip or DIM. Open Studio, sign into your account, click on the "products" tab then click on the middle "available" button. The gears should spin for a few second then show you a list of files you can download. Double click on said file to download it, it should turn from a greyed out image to a full color one to let you know its installed.

Is it possible to adjust texture files for encrypted content?

Yes, only the .duf and .dsf files are encrypted.

Thanks everyone.  What is .sep and .sea files ??  Instructions are confusing.  Where do these files go ?  As I've shared earlier I don't have either folder, I see cloud in data folder.

Those files are the "offline install" version of Connect files. It's for people who can't download directly from their DS computer (people with bad connections, for example): you download the sea and sep files (one has the actual content and one is some kind of "licence key" file IIRC) from another computer and copy them to the "daz connect install" directory on your DS machine, and DS will be able to install them when you launch it.

You need to have connected your DS to your DAZ account once to get the key file needed to decrypt the encrypted content first.

It's also what you will eventually be getting from Runtime DNA now that they have "joined" DAZ.  I guess it will be called encrypted DNA.
