Merging Scenes Causes G3 joints to Deform

As the title says, I can't say it any clearer. When I have 2 scenes I want to merge both containing a  Genesis 3 Female. The joints fall out of place. Both figures become deformed. Am I the only one experienceing this?

  • So the scenes load correctly on their own? What happens if you zero the shape on one or both figures?

  • They are both funky. Even after I adjust rigging again, their eyes are buldging out of their sockets, and they got long alien looking fingers are stuff. It's really super wierd.

    Screenshot?

Are these scaled morphs...and if scaled were individual body parts scaled along an axis (which would mean unhiding the axes..)?

  • If you are wiling to post the two .duf files, with a not of the content used, someone may be able to spot the issue.

No, nothing was scaled, and this hasnt happened just once, it happens all the time, with any/all my scenes.

I had a few friends try to themselves and it was repeatable on their machines as well. Have you tried merging two actors from two scenes into one, yourself? Try it... Make 2 new G3F actors with around 40 or so morphs, save those scenes. Close daz, reopen one of them. Pose her, and merge the other girl, and see what happens.

By any chance are both of them using mostly the same morphs?

I just tried it with two highly morphed characters that have very few, if any morphs in common and there was no problem.

Just to be clear, you mean load a G3F, dial a bunch of morphs, and save as a scene, do another one, then try to merge them?

  • Yeah pretty much. I will try to do a video and see if I can't capture it.
