I have read and reread your term and permissions and am still a little confused.

I am getting ready to start a web site where I will be writ ting short stories and would like to use your products for illustrating it.

there are many ways to keep images form being coped or downloaded and  I plan on using them all.

I also of course will give the proper credit as needed.

  • I can't state anything official, but this is my understanding:

    In short:

Everything where you use a 2D result of using the products (e.g. Pictures or FIlms you renderd) you can assume that you are ok

If you want to use any of the 3D objects (e.g. using the Meshes of the Objects in a game) its get tricky and the save assumption is it is a no.

So given your description you should be ok.

You download Daz Studio (which is free) to make your own art using the products here on the site.  (or you can use many of them in Poser and other 3D programs)

As far as assets purchased here (including freebies) are concerned then any use on your website of renders created with them should be fine, animations are also fine. Only if you had a 3D game running on the web site using these assets will you have any issues. You also do not need to add any credit, though you can if you wish to.

Assets from other stores are likely to be similar to the conditions here (but you should check), and free site resources often have additional restrictions (for example non-commercial use only, or you must link to provide credit) which needs to considered as well.

The limitations are mainly against taking content you've bought here and giving it/selling it to other people. This includes textures.

So if you take the G2F texture, add some polka dots to it, and then try to sell it somewhere, that's not cool (as I understand it).

It's doable to use 3D content in a game BUT ONLY if you  pay indie or comercial licenses from the available PA  who is giving them. not all content can fit on this area and it needs some modification, primarily reducing poly count and unifying  and scaled in low size textures on a single uv map, but is an option and must not ignored. Some Apple Game developers have 1 or 2 fighting games on the Apple Store using Victoria4, even Daz Smiley and Talking Tom uses Daz assets.

The only concern from me is on 3D printing by myself, because the store has it but no more details are explained on recent days about it.

Once you have created an image, it's yours to do with as you please. You don't need to give credit, and you don't need to copy protect it. If you want to, then more power to you, but you have no obligation to do so.
