purchasing a Gift Card for myself?

Can I purchase a gift card for myself?

Or another easier way to buy store credit for myself?

Yes, Gift Card is the easiest way, just put your name and email address as both the sender and recipient.  There's a bug that sometimes causes two emails to be sent with two different codes, but on;y one of them works.

Or you get three or four or MORE emails for each one. If they're for you, you can "redeem" them all and see which one works. But if it's for someone else, you would ask Support to tell you which is the valid code. (Sometimes you don't have their email addy, so you send to yourself then PM them the code.) Just for future reference.  The last three gift cards I got, it only sent duplicates, prior to that (we're talking six months or more, a known bug) it varied and could be two to four.

Another thing- when you redeem it, it just disappears out of the text box and doesn't send you to another page or anything. You go to your account and look in Store Credit and it will show up there.

That's how I do it when I'm sending out prizes for the RRRR.  I get the cards for myself, and PM the codes to the winners.

One caveat, though: I've encountered that bug a couple of times, or something very similar.  It happens when I buy several GCs on a single order; the last one occasionally fails to register properly.  So now, I make sure I get only one card per order.  (That's why it takes so long to get them delivered!wink)

I often do this to avoid my bank pooping itself and thinking someone's scamming my identity.

One big purchase, get store credit, then spend here and there until it's gone. Also helps keep a budget.

Keep an eye out for advertized deals on gift cards too, sometimes you can get them for slightly less than full price, often combined with the purchase of some other item at the same time.
