So, trying to get a figure to go from T pose to final pose for animated Dynamic drape.
Copy the pose, zero the pose, go forward 30 seconds, paste the pose. ... Except now he's in the pose the entire time.
Um. Ok. Create keyframes at start and finish, zero the first, paste the pose into the second. Nope.
Um. Ok, instead of zeroing, maybe do the T pose from the pose list. Nope.
How the frak do I do this?!?

hi, do not apply the final pose in frame one at all. start with the figure at default pose, scrub along to frame 30, apply the pose, add 5 frames to allow for settling.
( afaik, the first action at frame one is the one that sets the following actions)
edited to add:- if the pose required is a unique one you have done yourself, save it as a pose preset. then you can start with the default pose in a new sim, applying your final pose at frame required,
Here is how I do it and so far it has worked every time.
- Load figure (is in T pose)
- go to target frame (20 for example)
- apply pose from library (my own or store bought). This automatically sets a key frame
- done
Next I add the dyn cloth in the first frame and off it goes...

If I've already come up with a pose, what do I do? Save as pose preset, zero the pose, then load the preset at frame 20?
The problem I run into is that I usually don't know I'm going to need an animated drape until far along the process.
The only time to use a different pose, than the normal T-pose, at the start is if it is needed for the clothing item in question (some of the freebie Optitex coats have a 'start pose', so does the controllable cloak...there's a few other things, but can't think of them off the top of my head).
Yes, that's what I do (save as preset) or I simply do posing in frame 20 or whatever.
Oh and by the way, I am not saying that your way shouldn't work, I have simply never done it that way (using copy and paste).

Well, like I said, generally I ignore the timeline entirely until I go 'oh, heck, this isn't going to pose right. I need to change things' and then it's a mess. Saving as a pose preset does the trick...
Copy/paste, not so much. ;)
