It'll be next Tuesday (the 23rd) which will allow the offer to run for 1 week of Guy sales (month ending Tuesday 29th.)
Actually, that's not quite how it works.
As near as I've been able to determine, it's more like:
30% off (for New Release), then 30% off of that discounted price (for PC+; usually results in a 51% discount, total), and then 25% off of that (for the Girl 7 discount). In other words, the discounts don't actually 'stack', they more like 'cascade'.
Unfortunately, I totally tanked that 'introduction-to-calculus' course in college (derivatives I could handle; integrals..., not so much), so I'm pretty much resigned to say, "Yeah, whatever; just shut up and take my money," when the final price appears in my 'Place Order'' page. (It's still always been a pretty tasty mark-down, though, so I've never -- well, rarely -- had cause to complain.)
Just to stick it somewhere since loading the Product Index is hellish, here are the Genesis 3 releases so far for anyone that likes guesses based off statistics:
2016
Guy 7: Tue 23rd Feb (probably)
Girl 7: Tue 16th Feb
Gianni 7: Tue 26th Jan
Gia 7: Tue 19th Jan
2015
Leo 7: Tue 22nd Dec
Olympia 7: Tue 15th Dec
Michael 7: Tue 17th Nov
Arabella 7: Tue 20th Oct
Teen Josie 7: Tue 15th Sep
Karen 7: Wed 19th Aug *
Bethany 7: Tue 4th Aug *
Eva 7: Tue 21st Jul
Victoria 7: Tue 23rd Jun
* No idea what happened here but these two didn't match the usual patterns.
That would be lovely! :)
Though, mixing a toon character with a realistic character just makes a toonish version of the realistic one as opposed to the realstic toon having it's own look.
Hmmm...I bought 'The Girl' and I've been looking for the morph that makes her breasts smaller but there is none. In fact when I look at the morphs for the Girl there are just morphs to slide on a scale of fatness - skininess - muscularity and between 'the Girl 7' and 'Genesis 3' look. It would be nice if the Gorl could morph between infant - girl - teen - woman - elderly but I see no morph controls for such things.
Do I need to buy all those seperate Genesis 3 Body and Face Morph sets to get the earlier talked about breast morphs or was that something only include in the Girl 7 Pro Bundle? In which case that the Girl 7, the Girl 7, and the Girl 7 Pro would have different morphing available that is not spelled on in the product description isn't really good or acceptable business practice. If that breast morph functionality is part of that suite of Genesis 3 face & body morphs, fine, I will buy those.
I look forward to buying the Guy too as there is no toon style male to match Girl 7. The Cory character is good but since so many people are complaining maybe they'll give a stronger jaw, thinner lips, and a heavier brow for starters.
I didn't buy the Girl 7 Pro Bundle as too much of it was repetitive or not anything I'd use but I did buy several parts of it seperately.
Genesis 3 Body morphs have more breast adjustment options (works on all Genesis 3 characters) as does Breast Control by Zev0, and Growing up is for age adjusting.
Different bundles never have additional morphs that aren't in the other bundles, only the items listed on the product page.
Thanks. I will buy those. The earlier commenter must of already purchased and installed those products.
I will say the morphs on those morph bundles for fatness and skinniness and such are much, much, much nicer.
The Girl 7 comes with hidden fixer morphs for the breast small and breast gone morphs from the genesis 3 body morphs. So if you apply one of those, the hidden helper morph applies automatically and makes them look good.
The Girl 6 did not and it was nigh impossible to get her to have small breasts,
Thanks...I've been looking at those and at Zev0's Growing Up and Shapeshifter and together they make for a great system...now if Zev0 makes a Face Weight and Aging Morphs for Genesis 3 I'll be set. LOL, although I didn't intend to buy so many products they are good.
Ooh, I didn't know that. Interesting bit of information, thanks. Trying to make them smaller in the Girl 6 was always kind of a mess.
I wish they would just release more morph resource elements for G3M, that way we can do our own dial-spun characters rather than waiting months at a time for a an official release.
G3M barely has 170 items in the store, now compare that to the nearly 1000 items available for his female counterpart.
G3M has only been out for 3 months, where as G3F has been out for nearly 8. Thus, assuming content arrives evenly over time, since G3M was released there have been 170 G3M items and 375 G3F, which, if true, represents a ration of a bit more than 2 female items for every male released since G3M went live. That seems bad, however, by comparison to other stores, where the ratio is closer to 1-10, or even 1-20, then it could be much worse in DAZ land than it actually is. Having said that, I suspect at least some of those 170 G3M items are hair etc that support G3M and G3F, which would worsen the 2-1 ratio here if only items exclusively for one, or the other, are considered.
Additionally, you could argue that if you went into a real world clothing store the female fashion options would dwarf the male options. Male fashion is pretty dull in comparison to the range of options available to females.
True, but content is not just clothing, walk down the street, and there is just as many male characters as female, each with hair and poses.
Welll I'd argue that male hair also has less variety (and sure costs a lot less at the hairdressers!)
I mean obviously there is less content for males for the reasons you gave above, and I'd certainly welcome more, but poses are still being released for males at a relatively even rate, and clothing for men is like.. shirt and pants in various shapes and colours. Clothing for women has a huge variety of key items, such as skimpy dresses, skimpy skirts, skimpy pants with obscure holes cut in them, skimpy tops, skimpy bikinis, skimy almost one piece swimsuits, skimpy sci fi warrior adventure bikinis...
It just seems like every week someone is complaining that a female got released when since G3M finally turned up releases of males have probably been at a better ratio than ever before, and there's been a new male every single month.
Great render; while the Girl waits for the Guy, Cory figures he might as well hang out with her and wait. Who knows, maybe she'll get tired of waiting for him...
-- Walt Sterdan
I was never interested in the cartoonish versions until I saw Girl 7. If the Guy 7 can look as good as her, I might buy them both.
Isn't that 3DUniverse's Jason?
Nope, the model is pure Cory (at 50% -- no other morphs) with Jason's hair and textures.
-- Walt Sterdan
I've found that Cory works surprisingly well as an additive morph -- making non-toony males into toony ones, so to speak. And he's also decent at lesser strength. It's just by himself at full strength that he's a bit ... much.
Many treated Hiro the same way.
You're right... I was being a bit of a stick in the MUDD. :D
Anyway, I like having more options to tweak the figures features even more. I loved that about the previous incarnations of genesis. I'm gonna have to be patient. Cheers! :)
