It's anything BUT free as long as you need to make a purchase first. Call it what it is, a bonus for buying something.

It's free to PC members without purchase
Those of us who have learned to live with marketing tricks by mild kvetching about them will survive, and if we get over it we will be well on the path to achieving nirvana. But the marketers will join the lawyers, politicians, and used car salesmen in that special place in hell.
...And if you act now, we'll include an extra added free complimentary
bonus gift at no cost to you: a classic deluxe custom designer
luxury prestige high-quality premium select gourmet combination
key ring, magnifying glass, and garden hose, in a genuine
imitation leather-style carrying case with authentic vinyl trim.
Yours for the asking, no purchase necessary. It's our way of
saying thank you.

LOL! Love that you included used car salesmen
The PC membership is a purchase.
If it requires a prior purchase it aint free, it's a Bonus.
Haha, just watched this yesterday! :D
I have a new freebie idea for Daz!

I've been misled all my life — I thought they were all given a special, one time only, personalised free offer of a seat on the B-Ark.
As true now as it has ever been.

Geez, Will... Don't give them any ideas!

I've been finding true freebies by sorting from lowest cost to highest in the main shop. :) And I even managed to get all of the freebies from the banner ad as well. :)
Where have you guys been for the last 40 year this is so old I think my grandma was complaining about it.
I'm shocked that you've never seen advertising like this !
Man I'm really feeling old
..just pay separate shipping and handling...
Is there a DAZ_BillyMays?
Heh, then maybe it's about fican time something is done about it....?
if so are there jabooty dubs on you tube for him?
You forgot to add those people running the "We're from Windows Support and we're a Microsoft Business Partner" scam.
I do this too. In fact, I sort from highest to lowest cost, because bundles often pop up here. They are more and more often not a good deal (if you sum all of the parts separately and compare to the bundle cost, that is), but still worth a few minutes of my time. After reviewing that list, I sort from lowest to highest to see if there's anything free that I don't already have.
I'd buy that more if Daz didn't also have ACTUALLY free stuff and an entire forum of Freebies.
So when they start calling stuff Freebies but it's not actually a freebie, I get a bit frowny.
Its why you never hear about any of them getting bitten by sharks! Profesional curtesoy
Fun trick for those. Put your hand over the mouthpiece of the phone and shout "We've got one, start tracing the call!". I've yet to have one not hang up... Also fun, talking in random ominous gibberish taken from HP Lovecraft... Pretty much once they called you, they're fair game for whatever entertainment you feel like having at their expense.
