Sept 15th, 2014. 'Easy Environments - The Rock'. Yup, apparently when faced with an entire store of fascinating treasures to choose from, I buy a rock :)

    Nov 7 2000  P4 Period Gown

This is the earliest in my products library.

I got a note from them early on saying they lost some early records including my previous purchases. DAZ started in Dec 1999 (IIRC) and I was there from the start and, in fact, had bought some stuff from Zygote's poser division even before it spun off and became DAZ3D.

I am glad you have confirmed that I could  actually buy some P4 stuff from Daz, apart from the Costume Shop CD. Wasn't certain if my memory was slipping.

My first three orders were for free stuff. My first paid order was for a bunch of stuff, but the stand-out product from that order was Epic Wings. It's a great-looking product, and it works as well with Genesis 2 & 3 as with the original Genesis.

My purchase library is incomplete.  The earliest dated item in my list is Michael2 texture set and M2 Warlords Barbarian, purchased on Sept. 2, 2003  But obviously I had purchased M2 prior to that, or at least at the same time.  And I remember M2 and those acessories were terribly expensive for me at the time.

I bought Victoria 1, or The Millenium Woman as they were calling her then, back in 2000.

  • Yeah, I find you have to kinda piece together info from products page and orders. Because my orders show M2 as first purchase, which makes sense given the oldest items in products would be for M2

  • Click on the last page of order history.  Apparently activated Bryce and downloaded Daz Studio 1.8  Feb 2008,  and then grabbed some freebies.

    Zygote Millennium Woman Victoria 1.0.

I just looked it up on the wayback machine - the "new lower price" was 59.95 and all of the texture maps were sold separately! Wowie. I had forgotten what the prices were like back then, although I do remember agonizing over whether I should purchase her.

  • Yeah, the prices really shifted with V3 and her ability to have morphs sold separately. Looking through some of the older stuff and i can see how the quality has gone up over the years

I got freebies from Zygote, but my first purchase was Victoria 1 from the newly(ish) sepaarted DAZ3D just before Victoria 2 was released (part of a pre-launch promotion). Too lazy to check the dates but 2001 sounds about right.

$5.49 for the V3 Anniversary Bundle was my first paid purchase near top of my last page, rest all freebies

I at that point did not know I needed the clothes for some of it but got them much later, the textures and boots I used quite a lot and still actually do.

For skin textures alone it was a terribly good buy, and they worked on A3 too and M3 for that matter.

Aye I remember those old prices. I had lusted over the Eagle, but couldn't justify the cost, and then suddenly Daz invented the PC, and the eagle was one of the main catalogue items that became a PC item. reduced from $49.95 to $1.99, and another $1.99 for the textures. Instand buy along with the PC membership.  I think I saved my first years PC membership several times over  on my first PC order, especially as that was reduced if you joined quick enough after inaugaration.

I'm a newbie... 12/8/14, only been a Daz user for a little over a year.

I DID have Poser ~12+ years ago, I think, and I had Carrara, Ray Dream Designer, and Ray Dream Studio going back into misty history.

Ooh, ooh, Ray Dream Studio. smiley  I started with the 5.5 version.  Got a new box copy of it for $100 (marked down from $400 or $500)  at a big Washington DC area computer vendor flea market just after the original producers had sold out and (I think) before it was sold to Eovia.  I remember the stylized horse on the cover of the box and manual and ooh, and aah'ed at wishing I could buy a pre-made creature like that.  Then I discovered Poser then a few years later (about 2002-2003) I found the DAZ catalog.

  • A gentleman does not render and tell, but V3 was a milestone for me ;D

I still have that manual with the horse on it floating around somewhere.

My first "purchase" was in Nov. 2004, the DS Beta (pre version 1), soon after were V3 and A3.

May 2004, Noggin's Macaw. Then about a week or so later, Michael 2 and his sci-fi suit. And of course a PC membership, monthly for my first year because I couldn't afford annual right away & had to save up for it. But for some odd reason, the date of my Mike 2 purchase now reads December 2007. Guess that's because it was also included in a couple other bundles, one of which was the Platinum Club Bonus Pack 2006-2007. Originally I paid $29.99 for just Mike by his lonesome ... but he was well worth it. wink

My first taste of RayDream was when it came bundled with Corel Draw, and was billed as "Corel Dream 3D".

Ok, duck; here comes that rock again -- Granite is igneous NOT Sedimentary

As an aside, Looking back at my first orders revealed an item I purchased (mgHeightfiel Primsives) that wasn't in my product library and can't be downloaded. I submitted a ticket but CS sales support couldn't find the installer for it either so they submitted it to QA where it is pending
