can someone PLEEEASE get this texture to work?

From a character I got about nearly 3 years back which I think may be oldish now along with a couple other characters. I try to use their textures and usually get a lot of stuff come up in the box when I apply them to V4 which they were meant for (see video for example of when I try to add texture of said character to V4).

Anyone know a way I could get this texture to work at all? even if I have to downgrade somehow or add some other type of texture beforehand. I even tried to use it on V3 but no luck.

The error you are seeing indicates the user facing file cannot find the actual texture files in your texture folder on execution.

FIX: The issue indicates that either the folder they are in is not mapped in DS or the files are not in the correct position.

Search your harddrive for the missing texture files and make sure they are located in your runtime that is mapped to DS where DS is looking for them.

From what little I could make out of the video (a screen shot of just the error would be much more helpful), it looks like a path problem...the image files are not in the same spot the preset is expecting them to be.   With the number of them that are occuring, I'd say that the actual texture folder is missing...can you find them in Windows?

Whenever Studio throws an error about a missing texture, what I do is immeadiatly open that folder where it is searching, then window over to my desktop. Locate the manual installer and plunk those files right in the missing folder which is open. Saves me having to search for the directory.

I love the way they chose to word that notice... "To avoid seeing this message"... To avoid seeing that message again: I can close my eyes, turn my head, stick a piece of duct tape where the message appears, turn off the monitor, not turn on the computer, not open the program and instead go to the pub for a pint or two, or throw the damn computer out the friggin window... All of which would probably cause me not to see that message again, but not actually solve the problem... depending on how one deems a problem solved.  That message strikes me as being so sarcastic... When I'm showing someone how to make something and they just aren't getting it, I will say something like that... "That's nice... But to avoid having the lathe almost kill you again, you want to... Blah, blah, whatever"....
