I almost overlooked this one and wanted to give others a headsup: https://www.daz3d.com/day-of-the-dead-street

Here a quick render of a few props included, more in the description, such an awesome product!

This is a really cool and useful set! I love the buildings, and I can use many of the props. Thanks for pointing it out!

@mding a very nice set indeed with some unique props and building parts to kitbash! Thanks for pointing it out, I will definitely be buying it in a few days.

For those of you who bought it: The props can be bought seperately in this package (which you don't need!): https://www.daz3d.com/props-of-mexico

When you look into it you see, that the carpet has some extra material options. This is also included in "our" set, BUT you have to load it directly by browsing the folder where the carpet texture is included, it is not in smart content.

Then there is 1 prop which seems to be exclusive to the prop set: picture 17-20 that paper skull which could be a box, but I have no idea how it is called. Who wants that most likely has to buy the prop set or open a ticket.

    I think it's a piñata.

Tonight is last call for the current round of Quick Grab, right?

Suppose I should stop dragging feet and grab what looks interesting.

...it would be nice if there was a wider variety of items than all the G9 ones I've seen every week.

    Actually refreshed promptly this week!

Looks like I "only" score a couple shader sets... but they were both on my WL, so no complaints.

Agreed, though I think they're doing that to encourge people to switch to G9. I suppose it makes a change from the ancient products they used to put on the old Fast Grab.

Overall, I think the OS has an excellent variety of items. QG seems to focus on newer items. Not a bad thing, is it?

  • I think this latest QG has a wider range of items and lower average price than last week's run. Nice to see. Still undecided how much can be fitted into my budget. Regards, Richard

...I would just like to see a bit more diversity of items like props, vehicles, and sets.  Too many G9 characters.  So far I've only purchased one item since it started and that was a set which was on my wishlist..

I bought https://www.daz3d.com/lifeguard-swimsuit-g9-optimized-for-feminine-body-shape from Quick Grab. It is one of those imported products, with no readme and no metadata. It also has no product thumbnail. But worse than all all that, applying any material preset pops up missing file errors. I submitted a ticket.

    Here's a good find: https://www.daz3d.com/ski-bundle

Two G8F outfits, ski-related, but usable elsewhere, a snowy mountain environment by KindredArts, and a helicopter. All for 4 bucks if you're a member.

  • Another Outlet set with lots of props  - https://www.daz3d.com/z-lets-make-breakfast-props-and-poses-for-genesis-8-and-81. Also poses for G8/8.1 male & female, and I have lots of Bone Minions.

I guess Quick Grab switched over today. The selection today is 90 items and all at the $6.99 price point or less - No $9.99 items. That's kind of disappointing. It'll all come around again. Meanwhile, today is a good day for members and non-members alike to enjoy 60% off on OS items.

Quick Grab (so far) changes every Monday, at some random time between Daz midnight & Daz noon, but usually by late morning Daz time (MST/MDT).

Outlet selection seems to change every couple months so far. It's possible some items get added/removed in the interim, but the selection is large enough I can't tell if a handful have been added, or I just missed them the last time I scrolled through.

Thanks!  I'm aware. Mostly, I was lamenting that there were no big items in the latest QG batch and noting that yesterday was a good day to shop OS/QG.

I figured you already knew so was more providing for anyone new who finds their way to this thread.

Outlet/QG is one of Daz's best ideas lately. There are many golden oldies in Outlet (& golden not-so-oldies) for all. Then there's QG that is more for G9 crowd - although this time there's a Xivon underwater environment from my WL. Plus since PA items are included in both, they get some profit from their back catalogs, and who knows, someone might find a new-to-them PA they like and buy newer items from the PA.

I agree on the Outlet and QuickGrab being a stroke of genius on Daz part, and what's even more, both OS and QG significantly raise both the value of paid membership (50% off!) and the reason to actually renew your membership (QG changing weekly, and OS rotating every few months—or so it seems so far).

Looks like another very good selection this time, as always, some items are a great deal and others not so much. But that's a feature of all Daz sales.

  • The number of $1.99/0.99 items = 0. Number of V3 items = 0. Number of items exceeding the advertised maximum price of $9.99 = >960 (16 PAGES). Shame. Regards, Richard.
