Would someone who has purchased this be so kind as to post up a screenshot of the dress without the big wing/shield/spoiler-thingy and the collar and scarf? I'd imagine the collar should be able to be hidden/removed via the geometry editor...I'm just curious as to how the textures look without it or if it looks chopped.

Thanks!

I don't have time to post any renders, unfortunately, but here's a screen shot highlighting the various material zones. You won't need the geometry editor, just a hide shader. I've dialled all the wide morphs up to maximum!  There's also some morphs to adjust the size of the collar.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

    Thanks @alexhcowley!

I went ahead and purchased it figured since its OOT it would probably still look fine and it does to me. Couple attached renders with and without neck piece. The neck piece is seperate but like Alexhcowley said you can use the cutout opacity to hide the collar.

Glad you liked it. I currently have the second gown as well, with the first on my wish list.  One thing I really like about the recent gowns from DAZ is that there are now plenty of material zones on most of them.

    Cheers,

    Alex.

Hmmm, I love the look of the sleeves and the skirt, but the bust looks odd. Seems to be a symptom that so many outfits suffer from...saran-wrapped boobs. Could probably fix it with Fit Control and a modified dForce weight map, but you shouldn't have to.

    Thank you for the renders!

I agree that it shouldn't be something that has to be fixed but unfortunately thats not the case with most clothing...  O don't really know how to do the dforce weight maps yet, something on my learn to do list.

This is what I got after fiddling around with Fit Control.  Mind you I haven't used it but once or twice and I feel it could use some other tweaks but it looks better I think.  I also used the squeesh preset from Mystique at about 75% to give the compressed look like a tight bodice would do.  Included a full render just to show off the rest of the dress.
