DSON Editor vs File Reference Editor

Sometimes an item tries to load in DAZ Studio but has "files missing" errors. The files are there but DS is not looking in the correct place because of path errors, etc. Are there any tools to help locate the files and more importantly to correct these errors?
Would either of these tools work and if so which would be the best to purchase?

Either should work, though I don't have them to test. I'm not sure how well they would handle Connect isntalls, which are not in the same place as pre-Connect installs (but the content of the files iss tandard, so as long as it could open them it should be fine).
I'm trying to decide which one to purchasse. Which of these programs would be best for the stated purpose of correcting missing files errors? Is one easier to use than the other?
I don't have either but for that specific task I'd think the File Reference Editor would be best as it has less to provide a UI for. Don't forget that you can use Batch Convert (Window>Panes(Tabs)>Batch Convert) to uncompress files, or use an archive tool, and then use a text editor with batch editing to fix the paths without needing a dedicated tool.
According to the error message (picture), a .obj file located in Runtime/Geometries/ is missing.
The source of this error is not a native DAZ Studio asset but a Poser figure or prop.
That case DSON Editor is the wrong tool (the right one would be Poser File Editor).
File Reference Editor can fix such errors inside DS and Poser files and is easier to use than the dedicated file editors.
If you don't want to edit the links by hand (see Richard's hint), File Reference Editor is the tool you are looking for.
Actually the originating file was a duf file (and not a poser cr or pp2 file). I bought both programs while they were on sale and found that as you suggested File Reference editor was better for my purposes and much simpler to use. I didn't need the other functions available in DSON editor and have returned it.
Thanks to everybody for all your help.
