Unable to launch DS
I have installed and uninstalled daz studio and the manager a few times now. I have also made sure my firewall allows it AND reinstalled several times postgresqul with and without Valentina per forums.
Nothing is working and this is a new PC so I know it's not some anit-virus program because I have not installed any yet.
Help.
It only says upgrading cms... and thinking but never opening.

What security software are you uisng? Have you installed content, or have you copied content across from a previous system? What about the database - is that copied across?
This computer has nothing on it as far as security yet. It's new. I have not copied content from other systems nothing. Downloaded daz and have an external hardrive for the rest and this is what is happening....
I reinstalled a couple of things and it moved from Upgrading CMS to "please wait" that doesnt ever open the studio still.
I have reinstalled a ton of times and made sure my firewalls not blocking this thing. I had it open before once upon a time but it just literally stoppped working when I logged in as myself and now I cant get it to do anything.
Could you print the error for us? Appearently sounds like it's missing some kind of framework that has been moved/removed for you. Very hard to say what is the problem withou more information.
I have the error log how do I share it here? by link?
does this work?
DAZStudio.exe caused ACCESS_VIOLATION in module "C:\Windows\SYSTEM32\MSVCR100.dll" at 0033:0000000067B9C145, memmove()+485 byte(s)
Merged threads to keep everything together, and edited title.
Do you get a DS crash report, with the log file?
I am not sure where to look for that? I posted above what it gave me. Where would the crash report be?
I tried to upload the log file here it won't do it.
This is a brand new PC I am updating drivers but someone told me to back up the OS and completely clean it and start over again? Does that sounds like a good idea sigh
I emailed them the log is there a way to opload it here?>
You would get a pop-up dialogue, with a More Information button to click, which would yield a zip with the log file and some more technical stuff.
Ok I got it to open! but now it says this a valid postgresql connection could not be established (I have checked my firewall this is added)
If you look in task Manager while DS (or Install Manager, or both) are running do you see half-a-dozen or so entries for postgresql is the processes list (you will need to click the More Details button if you don't already have that enabled)?
Ok i got cms to work! FYI one way is to add folders and change the pathway however now my logins are failing even after I updated passwor.
The reco is to reinstall but I just finally got this all to work!
NEVEMIND IT WORKED YAY!
Resolve :D
