RDNA Bundles- Deals and Reviews

EDIT: I started this thread to talk about all the amazing deals on RDNA bundles as they have come over to DAZ. So much great content has flooded in at crazy prices, and many people don't know about it or might have missed it. I've picked up quite a bit over the past few months, and will try to organize and link this to the different bundles we've rendered and reviewed here. Many of the items work great in DAZ and even in Iray. Others have issues. We'll talk about them here.

Happy to answer questions on anything I already own, which is quite a bit. Or someone else on this thread may have it. I also have Poser 10 and 11 and can check things between those and DAZ when needed.

    The Istar bundle only shows the hair listed in the products, but shows the jewels and outfit in the pictures.  Any bought this today and can confirm everything in the pictures actually made it through the transfer and is included with the bundle?

    It's sitting in my cart right now. "Ishtar for V4" is listed on the far right of the product page. I'm thinking that's the outfit. It's very beautiful.

    I can tell you for sure later today. I'm waiting for them to fix that issue with the free item when you buy 2 new or still new items before I purchase. I love those bargains! :)

    It's a bit frustrating that they put out a lot of texture packs today but don't have the base that's getting modified yet.  Still, I'm really excited that Aves Irae and some of the other textures are showing up - hopefully the rest isn't far behind.

    I was really surprised to see the Bast for Genesis 3 and the Bast for V4 in the RDNA sale.  Those were on my wishlist over at RDNA, but they were like brand new when the merger stuff happened.  I'll be getting them, but was there a mega bundle for both V4 and G3 versions I should watch out for or were there just the two bundles like they are in the sale today?  I don't remember, but I think they were kept separate.  Anyone remember?

    There was one I put back, I think it was the Queen textures for Black Sister. Looks VERY cool, but without the base product, not much use. I bet they are coming, though.

    Looks like the cart issue is fixed, so I bought and downloaded Ishtar from the product page since I'm at work and don't have the Install Manager. Looks like if you download the "Ishtar Bundle" file, it's just the hair, but the product page says it contains both. If you click the link to Ishtar V4, you can download the outfit too. So it is included, but maybe they did something strange on the product pages.

    Those RDNA items can be really confusing with all those different bundles inside bundles inside and outside other bundles and with multiple addons which have addons themselves etc. etc..

    When I saw the Bast Bundle for G3F in the $4.00 bin today...I jumped for joy. I have been waiting for it to show up here. I never expected to get it at such an excellent price. Since most of my pictures tend to be related to Ancient mythology of various pantheons...it's been on my radar for awhile.....Thank you RDNA and Daz...you made my day laugh

    Does the Queens of the Nile texture set (http://www.daz3d.com/queens-from-the-nile-for-bast-v4) work with Bast for Genesis 3F or does it only work for Bast for V4? Bast for V4?

    Damn there not on there anymore I added them and like 10min later there full price, next time i guess :)

    Put them in your wishlist and watch for a catchup sale. If there is a final catchup they might be discounted again.

    And the happy day is finally here!  Lilithai, Qabbalah, Malaik, and Angeloi are in!

    Now I'm wondering about what's still at RDNA.  Can we still buy things from them?  There's about a half-dozen things I've found there that would be neat, but maybe it's too far into the transition and they'd get lost in the shuffle?

    Actually, DAZ is having a 'final' RDNA 60% off sale over there, and it appears that anything on sale there is not going to be carried over to DAZ, so if you want anything, you need to budget and buy soon. I think they'd do a bit better if the sale were discounted more deeply, or had some 'bulk buying' incentive, as I'd pretty much bought most of what I wanted before the transition. I'm a 'collector' by any definition, and a few things would be 'nice to have', but even at 60%, they're a bit rich for my buffers.

    Maybe we'll see a black friday fling, or a final FINAL sale, but the word is when they're gone... they're gone.

    Edit: Looks like they work just fine, but will have to be tweaked for Iray. First pic is Iray with no adjustments on the textures. I didn't let it render fully. Second pic is 3DL. I didn't take time to light it well or anything (getting ready to leave for work), and the shaders on the G3F are still Iray. I thought this would look more gold (like the promos.) I'm guessing these textures are for Poser, but I don't have the V4 version to test in Poser yet. I'll play tonight and see how I can get it to look in Daz.

    Thanks. I didn't buy it because I wasn't sure if it would work at all on the G3F set and now it now longer is on sale. But I have wishlisted it and hope it shows up in a catchup sale.

    There were a few things I wishlisted too. Didn't realize they'd be gone so quickly, but glad to have picked up what I did. I'll post some renders later. With all the craziness going on today, I think it's going to be a DAZ night! With wine. Maybe chocolate too! And Gianni. Lots and lots of Gianni 7! (That's who I'm voting for!)

    Ooh, some good bundles today too, as thistledown mentioned! Malaik, Qabalaah and Lilithai Strigoia. The Angeloi stuff is gorgeous. The Black Sister outfit is in the store, and another Bast texture. I just wish they'd given us another day to pick up some of the other stuff. Seems like they're introducing textures for outfits that aren't in the store yet, then yanking the textures out of the sale when the outfits get in there. Wishlisting plenty!

    The description of The Malaik bundle is really confusing, under details it says that four different wings are included and under what's included and features it says that it includes 

    • The Malaik outfit
    • The Malaik Characters
    • The Malaik wings                                       Which version is the correct one? the 4 wings or  characters, outfit and Malaik wings?

    Maybe they mean the wing textures, there seem to be 4 of them.

    I bought it, here's what it says in the product library:

    Edit: I only see Malaik wings (angel kind) though there is a texture folder for Qabalaah. I'm at work at the moment, I'll install when I get home and let you know for sure.

    I don't think so, it says:  "four different and unique wing sets" and "Each wing figure comes with at least four matching texture sets"

    Here is the description of the wing sets: "You get one faerie style petal leaf wing set (OrchidFaes), one majestic feathered wing set (Malaik wings), a demonic bat wing set (Qabbalah wings) and a hybrid wing set with insectlike winglets and membrane elements (Lilithai Strigoia wings"

    Thanks for checking it for me, Llynara! :) I need a pair of  Angelwings and the Malaik ones looks great, but I wouldn't mind if the OrchidFaes were included either, they looks gorgerous. They should edit the description so that it's more clear what's included and what's not.

    There are five different templates in the template folder, but I don't see anything about faerie and bat style wings. 
     

    Here's what the readme file fo the Malaik wings says: 

    The Malaik chcracter comes with the following options:

    * fully articulated feathered wings figure with multiple body parts and material zones
    * 2 full wing MATs in Myrael's color scheme
    * 3 full wing MATs in Rathanael's color scheme
    * 12 partial MATs in Rathanael's color scheme
    * 1 utility to make the keels invisible
    * 4 poses for the wings
    * 4 poses for V4, matching the wings
    * 1 pose for the lance
    * 1 utility pose to zero the lance
    * 1 utility pose to zero V4
    * 1 utility pose to zero the wings
    * all MATs come with advances Poser 7 + shaders and DS material options

    Today broke my wallet with the RDNA bundles that I had wishlisted at RDNA but too expensive for me at the time

    I hear ya! The last two months of Daz sales have killed my pocketbook! I'm the happy owner of tons of cool stuff, but OMG, I'll be eating beans FOREVER (watch out!)

    Ive come to the conclusion that the PC+ club, while technically it saves you money, encourages spending. I think I figured that out, ohhh, about 3 years ago I think... I still havent learned that lesson!

    NEED MORE STUFF!
