First two Stacker freebies from Censored (baloons and vase).

Richard Haseltine looks on in awe.

Now Richard just needs to bring the Heart balloon to the vase to be added.

Thank you for the smile @barbult.

If it were one of our moggies instead, there'd just be a wide pawed flying orange streak across the field of view, one balloon would be impacted and then as that blew, the orange streak would disappear the other way in fright.

    Regards,

    Richard

I liked the bright colors of the balloons, and of course, most any image is improved by the addition of Richard.

I'd get that appraised. A van Klomp sold for £15K in 2018.

I don't want to alarm anyone, but I think there's a teensy-weensy possibility that the Commissar might be a Slaaneshii infiltrator.

I meant to do this as follow-up to the other render I did with some of the stuff out of the Bishop bundle (https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/comment/9282781/#Comment_9282781), but plain forgot about it.

    As far as recent buys:
https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-imperial-commander-outfit-for-genesis-9 (Bits and pieces from it, anyway).
https://www.daz3d.com/sci-fi-dark-style-weapons-for-genesis-9 (Although I used other stuff from that before)
https://www.daz3d.com/fn-headquarter (Not hugely visible, and more like two and a half months ago, but dang it, I'm counting it)

I think this is also a first use of these older buys:
    https://www.daz3d.com/skinny-jeans-ourfit-for-genesis-9
    https://www.daz3d.com/catsuit-for-genesis-9
https://www.daz3d.com/sharkt-air-striker (which is straight up an Imperial Guard Valkyrie)
https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-giuro-vendetta-hd-for-genesis-8 (technically I've used the skull mask out of this set before, but I always had the coat earmarked for a WH40K render, so this is me *finally* using it for the kind of thing I intended).

Cross-posting this from the DAZ membership sale contest. This was inspired by my new buy of The Antfarm's cute mech spider and KA's Monster Mash freebie challenge that's got me doing comic one-pagers again.

Story: It seems that some monsters might make for interesting pets... A year ago, a young but deadly metal monster ventured into the city for KA's annual Monster Mash and found itself adopted. Here's a little peek into the time he spent with his friend Brinda over the past year and how he got his name 'Tiny'.

    Nice, zeldaretext!

SapphireBlue, I can image the girl running after the spider, once it got three-story building tall, shouting, "Tiny! Tiny! Be careful!" :D

Lorraine Happy you liked it. Thank you! heart

joanna Ha! You're very right. I can see that happening! smiley Tiny, once matured, was going to have the superpower to temporarily grow anything from tiny to gargantuan to help fight crime or something. But he'd be back to this more 'regular' size to fit inside Brinda's house and his own bed. laugh They've been busy giving me all kinds of nonsense ideas for comic one pagers, from the mundane to the fantastic.  It's a nice relaxing bit of fun for me, and a great way to use those buys!

    She Wears The Stars

I've been mostly buying quick grab this month, but I did get some stuff last month too:

    • VYK Heather for G9
    • VYK Confroming Cloth - a bit tricky to work with but so much possibilities!
    • Elathlaen Hair for G9 - the length makes it a challenge to dForce them as the front hair will go under the armpits and promptly explode; but it has a lot of morphs too.
    • Untamed Beauty Shape & Poses - I really like this set! I have no use for the shape really, but the poses are divided into body parts which means you can quickly and easily build your own pose limb by limb.
    • L3D Heavy Metal Shaders - beautiful; already love them.
    • Ron's Light Dusting - really good set, for when you want to add that "delicate touch." I used Ron's Mystical Accents here too, but that dusting was just what I needed to bring it all together.

Special appearance: dForce Archmage. My relationship with dForce is at best difficult, at worst almost non-existent, so even though I bought this one back in June, it took me a while to get around to actually trying it. It's a complex tool, but I love how it got broken down to what you need at the time. Auto-creating preset wind nodes parented to the camera is great, because I pick the preset from the options which gives me an idea what the numbers do (vs. guessing how much wind is too much for what I want), and with the nodes being parented to a camera, it feels much easier to adjust their location. Definitely a tool that makes me want to experiment with dForce more and properly learn it.

The rest of products in the gallery.

    Beautiful render!

... I'm where you are with dForce, I think. I got that product, too, and TBH have been too intimidated to poke at it. (I admit often by the time I am able to sit down for making art, I just don't have the brain cells or emotional stamina to deal with learning new tricks or the frustration that often comes with it.) Based on this review, I'm a bit more likely to risk it. :)

I need to start using Archmage too... It's been lounging in my library for long enough!

Yes, there are so many options in the folder, too, and the documentation is really extensive. I'd definitely leave it for the day when you're in the mood to learn something vs. just be creative, but at the same time, you don't have to learn it all in one go. For this image, I just used the dforce Archmage 06 Wind Wizard, because whenever I try to create wind nodes, it feels cumbersome to set them up, especially with my lack of knowledge of how all the settings and numbers work. I still played with the gravity and air resistance setting in the simulation settings, but at least I had an idea what the wind node setting will do vs. guessing the numbers. Also, I found it quite easy to use without documentation as you can click on each button, see what it does, and then cancel out and try again.

I think it's a great product. I'm somewhat clueless when it comes to dforce settings, and I managed to make it work for me, so I can only imagine how much someone who simulates regularly will get out of it.

Due to a discussion in another thread I decided to make SASY Creepy Chibi Genesis 9 cute rather than creepy and thought FilaToon would be perfect for that. She mixes quite well with G9 Toon and Vicky 9, though the eyes required some manual adjustments.

An idea that's been floating around for a while, inspired by discovering quite how transparent the opacity maps on https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-sparkle-dress-for-genesis-8-female-s turn out to be if they're lit wrong.

However, has https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-classic-leather-tube-dress-outfit-for-genesis-9-8-and-81-female as a new release and
    https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-charming-chic-outfit-set-for-genesis-9

    https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-mirror-ball-dress-for-genesis-9-and-8-females

... as not-actually-new releases, but at least I bought them semi recently. (The G9 only ones have been converted to G8 using some methods I've been developing, as these are all G8 characters).

(Fuller asset list at the gallery link.)

The new releases are NewGuy's bra set and some of the textures for it:

But I hadn't really used the underpants previously either. The matching set helps.

In any case, as he started dressing a centaur in the bra promos...

... but didn't finish it, clearly someone had to take over.

@Matt_Castle I love it!  Always impressed by your ability to dress the centaur!

I do intend to do another update of the pants with supported characters to match the tops, once Vol 2 is done for the bras.  I don't think I'll be able to do the centaur to the level you have.  Those supported shapes take quite some time to do.

Oh, those are a complete refit. Particularly when I'm doing anything for the forequarters, where I have to cut new holes in it.

I wouldn't expect vendors to provide that support; it's not really worth their time. (I already have tools specifically for the job that save me a lot of time).

Those supported shapes take quite some time to do.

Most of these are actually a refit to G8 (except the mostly out of focus dryad), and some of them I copied shapes over from templates I've been working on, given just how much of a pain the breast area is when it comes to auto-following from the figure.

A portrait of Mira 9, to play with recent buys like the excellent chain belts by Fabiana, the pantyhose by Lali-K (it's the Genesis 9 version sold on Renderhub) and the poses set (bought when it was a Quick Grab). Everything else is from older orders:

There is no particular story behind it: I initially did try to make it an outdoor portrait, using the Street of Paris, but I'm a bit under the weather and didn't felt in the mood to file the whole scene to make it a bit more lively then do multiple spots renders. All items used are on the gallery, as usual. I don't know how it's called in English, but I did two versions, the one attached to the message, and one showing Mira completly (from her shoes to her head).

I hope it's framed correctly, I initially centered the cameras around her shoulders but it felt a bit strange, so I centered them around her head which felt better but I didn't feel as confident in the framing as I usually do (wether I'm correct or not usually is another matter of course laugh), likely due to how Mira's pose is a bit 'zigzaging'.

Stellar render, if I'm allowed to say so yes

And I concur with your opinion about dForce Archmage: it makes using dForce so much easier, and while I have yet to play with wind nodes, it's very useful when you have to simulate items requiring different simulation presets. In the case of my render, I did three simulations: the clothes, then the jewelry and at the end the hairs and setting each of  them was very simple (I have created a preset for Fabiana's jewlery, using one of the presets she included with them).

Are the conversion methods you're speaking about related to the product you are working on with someone else? Is it progressing nicely?

It is related, and it is progressing. Not necessarily consistently, but some parts of my process are proving harder to script than others.

Although the good news I've managed to boil a lot of things down to methods that at least in theory can be scripted (including a mostly reliable method for converting high heels between generations, despite vendors having very inconsistent ways to rig them).
