Singers have often featured prominently in fantastic stories. Young Antonia in the Tales of Hoffmann dies from singing. The Greek Sirens lure sailors by their singing and let them drown. It is a singer who redeems the mad genius Erik who haunts the Parisian opera house.

This outfit was inspired by this story, "The Phantom of the Opera" by Gaston Leroux. It is a classical evening dress similar to styles which were worn around 1900, but it's modern enough for contemporary renders, too.
