HD Body Burns 2 Add-On for Genesis 8 and 8.1 Males is an expansion of textures that will provide the base product’s body burn morphs with 3 different looks: Raw, Dark Raw (for dark-skinned characters), Carbonized, and Charred.

By using a Geoshell wearable (with a custom, even density UV set) to apply the textures, you will be able to add the burns in a non-destructive way. We have also included several utility presets to tweak the results to help you achieve your vision. Presets for use with 8.1 characters have been included, alongside a set of 2 different masks.

The regular masks (hard) are intended to be used with the Carbonized and Charred presets, while the soft masks are best used with the Raw preset. Having said that, as shown in the promos, you can always mix, match, stack, and experiment for greater variation!

Given that the textures are 8K in resolution, we reduced system resources by having a single map per channel containing all of the textures (5 maps total), and then used LIE to build the opacity mask (a LIE preset per mask that corresponds to one of the morphs). For your convenience, we have also included pre-combined masks so you can quickly apply all the burns or burn an entire leg of your character without having gaps between the individual masks.

On top of all that, we have also included a Bonus Geoshell and Bonus Presets that will allow you to combine this pack with the previous pack HD Body Burns Add-On for Genesis 8 & 8.1 Male(s) without the need to apply and juggle 2 different Geoshells. The Bonus Geoshell textures are built through LIE, so the previous pack is required to use any of the presets marked with a “B” (Bonus) on the icon. Think of the Bonus presets as a bridge between products.

Like with our previous pack, we have also added extra Bonus Mixing Presets that will overlay the Base Products Textures (Scars) onto your chosen material texture (Charred, Carbonized, Raw, or Dark Raw). To use those Mixing Presets, the two Base Products are required (HD Body Burn & HD Body Burns 2).

Having said that, aside from the Bonus Presets, this pack can be used as a standalone item. So, while we added the previous packs as a requirement, you do not really need them unless you also want to apply the arm, hands, and neck burns included with the first pack and/or use them in combination with the morphs from the base products.

In total, you get 4 Wearable Geoshell Presets, 16 Iray Material Presets (8 Bonus), 172 LIE Mask Presets, 10 Opacity Presets, 4 LIE Bonus Mixing presets (which require the previous 3 packs), and 8 Normal and Displacement Presets. With the ability to mix, match, and even stack Geoshells, the possibilities for variation are endless!

And since these are built on a Geoshell in a non-destructive way, you will be able to tweak and refine them using the Surface Pane to your hearts’ content, knowing that your character’s skin settings will not be affected!

Like with our other packs, these can be combined to help add valuable subtext to your images, allowing you to build characters marked by hardships and pain. They ultimately must wear the badges life has bestowed upon them, and whether they will wear them with pride, shame, or pain is up to you!

Note: It is important to select the right preset for your character. Using the presets for Genesis 8 on an 8.1 character will result in seams. We have included a PDF file that explains each preset and an icon that would bring it up right from the comfort of Daz Studio.

In addition, while this product is intended to work with the base product, you can still use most presets without the need for any other product. For that reason, we have included the custom UV set in this product as well in case someone wishes to only buy this pack. Only the Bonus Presets require the base product.

Important: Presets for the Hip and Butt Burns could not be shown in promos due to the TOS, but they are included. The difference between the Leg Presets and Full Leg Presets may not be very apparent in the promos but basically, the Leg Presets start from the thigh down, whereas the Full Leg Presets also include the hip and butt burns.
