If you aren't in a hurry, the older generation 4 products frequently come on sale in the store for substantial savings, if you don't mind waiting and watching.

My test render of Michael 8 with Alex hair.  I mostly like him, though I'm not wild about the eyebrows.  There is something about the curve of his cheek that may need adjustment as well  (edit - never mind, I think it is just the shadow of his hair curl lol).  Something is also going on with the texture on the henley he is wearing (under left arm and bottom middle), I'm not sure what it is.

Edit - I don't know why his lips came out that shiny.  I'll do more renders to see if it's the lights or what.

Michael 4 is my main man and Genesis 2 is now getting some serious play on my part (yep, I'm really behind the times, lol!) That makes me stop and consider just how much use he will be to me. Pro bundle has all kinds of goodies and there are the bonus bundles to consider since I barely have any G3 male stuff and skipped M7 because he didn't appeal enough to me to make me overlook the whole Daz Studio only issue, whereas M8 does. But that is a big issue because there's no guarantee that Studio, my finicky system and I will get along well enough to justify the expense. So it's a question of Starter bundle plus morph packs and any bonuses that go with it or just M8, the morph packs and a few bits here and there until things are more settled. Speaking of bits, I know, only Pros come with those and he probably won't be able to borrow anyone else's. But I prefer to buy my toast at that other store as they have a much bigger selection. 

I think he is a good purchase. I like his bod. I don't like the head at all, but hopefully it will be only a matter of time before enough morphs come along to change that.

Free Poser archaelogist face by me from a famous adventure movie. For the texture I use  SAV Boris Di Conti from Renderosity, but if you can find a better one, do it. For hair I use CQ Event Hairstyle from DAZ unless he's wearing his hat, then I use Boris Di Conti non-bald texture. You need Morphs + + and basic morphs for Michael 4. Set the body at bodybuilder 0.600. Folder goes in your Faces folder. It's for the Dr. Graverobber costume at Renderosity by Cybertenko.

I really, REALLY would like to use Genesis in Poser, but there are just too many issues. So, for most of the time, M4 is still my fallback. Nevertheless, I think I will be getting the M8 Pro Bundle. I have all but one of the other bundles, so it's still a decent deal. And I know I'll want to use M8 at some point in the future.

This is an excellent skeleton.  The Michael 4 and Victoria 4 anatomy bundles will go on sale occasionally.  They are great packages to have.

Okay, I think I see what the problem is. Even though I have "Michael 4 Pro Bundle" showing up as purchased, I didn't actually purchase it as a standalone product, I got the bigger "M4 Hero Pro Pack" which includes the Pro Bundle (not just the items from it, but the actual bundle).

I have all of the Michael # Pro Bundles and my on-site message says I am getting the three bundle discount, so I don't think Michael 4 counts (or the offer is capped at three bundles).

The orange banner discount is wrong again like it was for V8. Banner says I own 1 previous michael pro bundle when in fact I own two, three if you include the M5 pro that came with Carrara. Hopefully this will be fixed as they did with V8.

For V8 it was buy it and turn in an ticket for an adjustment. The numbers/banners niver got fixed.

Now I'm wondering if it counts if the pro bundle was part of another bundle? Because my banner says I only one Michael Pro bundle, but I have two. I just got the Michael 4 one in the M4 Hero Pro Pack. Hopefully the discount will be adjusted accordingly. I don't get paid till week's end anyhow. I have time to decide weather to commit or not.

Good point, I never considered that. May only be the Genesis line, so that's why Daz says I own 3 Pro bundles when I actually own 4, but the 4th is the M4 Pro bundle. Makes sense now, if what you say happens to be the case.

Yeah, it appears that they're only counting Pro Bundles that were purchased as Pro Bundles. I have the previous 4 Pro Bundles going back to MIchael 4, but the M4 was part of the M4 Hero Bundle, and while I haven't  got the orange note yet, the message in my account only credits me for three Michael Pro Bundles.

Not that it really matters at this point, since DAZ seems to have forgotten to.release the basic G8M Head, Body and Expression morph packs and I'd want to get those before M8.  And I personally think M8 looks more like a David than a Michael.     

Sorry, just not into him. If he was real, I wouldn't date him. My favorite is still Michael 4. Like Victoria 8, I just don't find him attractive. I have more than enough males from previous generations and so far, I have to say, I'm just not impressed with Gen 8. I have soooo much content already, that I have a feeling I'll be good with just the G8 bases and morphs and some merchant resource morphs and may wait for G9 and great sales on older content...  Actually, I have more content than I could probably use in a lifetime, so I'm happy I'm not swayed to purchase him

I forgot about the free bundles when I checked out, but then I thought "I already own them all." However when I look at them, only Michael 6 and Michael 7 show purchased. I checked my purchase history and my Michael 5 bundle is called "Michael 5 pro suite". I guess the "suite" is why it thinks I don't own it. But when I click on each item, they all say purchased. The suite bundle actually looks like it contains some extra items as well.

I thought I owned Michael 4 pro too. But when I click on each item, I see a few items that I apparantly don't own. But nothing that I desperately want. Of course if I had known, I probably would have thrown it in the cart. But then...according to some posts about... the DazOriginals PC+ discount probably wouldn't have worked.

Yes, good advice, I own 4 Michael Pro bundles, and it says I only own 3. Not sure if to wait a while, or submit a support ticket. No orange banner either, so maybe I will wait a few more hours.

I have bought Michael 4,5,6,7 Pro bundles in the past, and Daz has calculated this as owning 3 Pro bundles !    Hopefully just another Daz glitch (sigh).

I don't think they counted Victoria 4 in the last promo for Victoria 8 - so I they probably won't include Michael 4 as counting toward the number of pro bundles. I think they might be just counting the Genesis line.

Interestingly, they are counting the M4 Pro bundle as one of the FREE Michael Pro bundles, so maybe this is where I saw the confusion. It is quite feasable they may only be giving discount for Genesis Pro bundles owned, and if as you suggest, V4 wasn't counted, then my exclusive offer total is right.

I have started to put some Michael 8 items in my cart, and the discounts are correct, so looks like I will be spending my day making purchases, downloading content, and doing that all important first render!  Happy days.
