WARNING: Even yet another coupon change. While I beleive the new lesser value Leisa coupon originally stated it would expire Sunday 10 November, it now states it will expire Friday 8 November. I wish I had gotten a screenshot of it earlier today. Hey DAZ -- How about just giving us back our original coupon with 20% off gift cards until Sunday.

Yes I have the same issue, I would like my coupon back that was giving me 20% off gift cards until Sunday, I was waiting until payday Friday to get a new gift card. Daz you can't just give and take away as you please and substitute when ever you feel like it! If you say it expires Sunday then you need to honor that!

today's blue banner discount code for the leisa 8 pro bundle doesn't work.  on the leisa 8 pro bundle, or on gift cards.

result from a straight copy and paste of the code is:  Coupon code "LEISA-LEISA-LEISA" is not valid.

attempting to apply the code also totally destroys all discounts in the cart.  the current base discount on the bundle, the discount from having two leisa 8 add-ons in the cart, and the discounts on other sale items.  everything jumps back to full price.

at least the banner code didn't make the carted products *more* expensive.  that's the only good thing you can say about it, though.  :/

Nice... Raise the price of catch up sale items and require a huge buy-in (Pro bundle purchase) to get them for 50 cents less than the usual catch up price. Now that's crummy.

 

Yeah, I'm not really seeing much incentive there for either buying catch up items or Leisa. It would take a lot of 0.50 discounts to make it worth adding a $56 bundle that I wasn't sure I really wanted. Plus now, I have no incentive to get catch up items without buying the bundle...screwy idea.

Except the 2.99 pirce was an error - they actually are charging 5.00 for catchup items. They mistakenly advertised it as 2.99 two days running.
All the same, nothing they have offered has enticed me to buy Leisa.

I was thinking that Leisa was one of the more credible mature characters, and Allesandra kept that theme going (Gabi is a bit too WTF for me) useful for a CEO, scientist, librarian, etc. but then I saw one little item that just blew everything for me.

Height: 6' 0" (182.8 cm)

Seriously? That's 99.92 percentile. Less than 1 in 1000. That won't look realistic in a car, at a desk, going through a doorway, etc. Kitchen counters are at the wrong height for her. ( 50% for the US is 5'3.6"). Oh, and the standard weight for a 6' woman is 188 pounds. 

Teen Josie 8 is 5'5", which is 75th percentile for adult women. Teen Raven 8 is 5'6". Fortunately, it appears that all the DAZ teens are 18-19, so they've basically stopped growing.

DAZ heights are out of control. Next generation won't even fit in cars, will bump their heads in doorways,  I'm picturing Victoria 9 coming in at 6'4". What do we use these characters for, aside from the obvious NVITWS?

6'0" sounds perfect to me, though I think I can count on one hand the number of women I've met at that height that were not basketball players. 188 pounds seems quite heavy though.

Well, with the current long time delays in resolving tickets (my last one took 8 days) it probably won't get any action before the expriration date (Sunday 10 November) shown on the attached screenshot of the old coupon which is no longer working for me either. Grrr !!! 

Purple banner coupon is appicable now, but doesn't change the price of Leisa 8 Pro Bundle. I also don't get the 10% off Platinum Club+ For a Day items with 4 Leisa or debut new releases in cart.

Me too. I guess they could be running another gift card sale in the next few days and did not want people stacking that with the 20% off.

Alessi, with those artificial rosebud lips sharp chin & turned up eye corner makeup, reminds me the hordes of V3 or V4 images we used to see at Renderosity during the early to mid 2000's. All wore identikit rosebud lips, sharp chin and turned up corners to their eyes. Feels very retro to me, and not in a good way. Not very keen on the Alessi character myself.

Gabi & Leighton are rather nice, but to get them you need a rather 'meh' base character. I felt Bidget was 'meh' too and haven't used her since, but 'Ellis for Bridget' was definitely much more of a must-buy than Gabi & Leighton, which is why I got 'Bridget', and why I won't be getting Leisa.

Since I have lots of natural-looking characters, it's nice to have something different. I don't have a horde of V3 - V4 Renderosity identical characters that you are referring to. Besides, I was more struck by the makeup and tattoos. I especially like the raven/third eye and feathery make-up feature. Even if I didn't use the morph and just used the skin, it's a great addition. Besides I tend not to use characters out of the box and mix and match morphs so I hardly think she's part of a horde

Has anyone rendered Gabi without Leisa yet?

Here you go. I added one with 100% Leisa for comparison, and also one with 0% Leisa but 100% Victoria for good measure.

I went looking for the oufit in the main promo pic of "DE Jana for Leisa" and it is apparently the "Behave Outfit" by OOT - but it throws a 404 page not found if following the link or searching the store. What's funny is the texture expansion pack "Vixen Textures" is still there but not the main product ?!

EDIT: opened a support ticket for the 404 page for the oufit.

Leisa's skin is VERY nice, better than realistic. To me, she's in the top 3 best G8F skins with Zelara & Babina.
