Have you selected the model in the scene tab before applying the clothing?
EDIT: Also, what "Old Model" are you using? Genesis1? Victoria 2? Any further information would be useful.
Hi BeeMKay,
I have indeed got the model selected and I am using Genesis 2. By older model I mean that I made it a while ago. I've gone ahead an made a body similar to what i had (kinda like it better too lol) however if there is a solution, it'd be pretty great. I did make this model, about 2 years ago now and have only really played with it in Blender since so it could well be it's just, not compatible with the newest daz.

Arki, You ROCK!!! Welcome All from RDNA!!!
I was just recently working on re-shaping my V4 and M4 character's iris meshes to get the proper opposite highlight, like what Jeremy Birn recommends in his Digital Lighting and Rendering book. I really liked the results I was seeing, but I kept lacking the time to actually do it right. test of a trial run at re-shaping the irises >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Well now that Daz 3d merged with RDNA, there has been a lot of cool sales on our new selections.
I was checking a whole bunch of it out the other day... there's a lot of really cool stuff! So I bought some of this... some of that... it's hard to say how much of the new products I've seen already, and I know that there's still a lot to come over from the other store. I hope the transition is going smooth for all of the artists.
Anyways, I was messing around with my new Dragon: Ocean Queen, from Arki, and decided to go back into the store and see what all she has available in her store. Hmmm... I've already been an Arki fan having already bought several of her offerings. Anyways...
While I was browsing I came upon the coolest thing: EYEdeas 3+ for Victoria 4 and Michael 4, just the very figures I've been working on! Well now I don't have to - Thanks to you, Arki!!!
EYEdeas 3 are anatomically correct eye models that can work with any model, I imagine. But this kit is masterfully geared to work with V4 and M4. EYEdeas 3 are custom mapped, conforming or parented eyes, and EYEdeas 3+ are newer improved versions with a separate reflection layer which can be textured independently from the rest of the eye and can also be rotated separately from the rest of the eye! There are also versions which can use existing V4 or M4 eye textures instead of Arki's custom maps, so we can use shaders that we've already made for V4 or M4.props.
I was really excited to get my hands on these - but I was quite surpised when I went to load them in. Immediately after installing, I went straight in without reading anything about them, so I looked in the "Props" folder... nothing. So I went into the Figures folder and there they are! So I started looking through the options and loaded in a set onto my character. Wow! The set I loaded in is a conforming figure containing both eyes - which can be controlled with my Morphs++ eye-movement dials!!!
Nothing wrong with props. I like using them. But using this, I don't have to hide them deep within my hierarchy, but just leave them in the list within my character's grouping, as with the rest of my conforming items - making them really easy to select and edit. EYEdeas 3 eyes have several morph dials for altering how they work and what they look like. I needed a convex iris, so I cranked that one up. As it turned out, the set that I loaded in by guessing is one of those which uses V4's eyes UVs, so the shaders already within my tray did most of the trick, and I opened the instructions to see what to do with the rest... really slick setup... I'm very pleased!
Very organized sets of choices in the Pose folder for Utilities for both the main character figure as well as some for the EYEdeas eyes. Then there's a bunch of MATs to choose from to make any sort of creature or person.
I also bought the expansion pack Vol. 1: Naturals for a selection of natural style textures and will get Vol. 2: Fantasy soon! I wanted to check out the product before going too deep. Seeing how easy the kit is to use, I'll be using these for all kinds of figures!
So cool! We can load the full sets of two eyes, or right and/or left eyes individually, so I know I can use these for Genesis figures and other figures like monsters, creatures, animals... anything that would benefit from detailed eyes.
Still not finished tweaking these how I want them to be, the practice I spent on them got me pretty well acquainted with getting Rosie eyes set up - which shaders to use in which domains, etc., and now I'm experimenting with other options - like the other sets of eyes which use the other style of mapping, so I can try out Arki's really nice textures. She's got stuff in there for demons and monsters, mechanical beasties and droids, Fae... just the initial kit has some great options, and the expansion has much more. Definitely want that Vol. 2: Fantasy! I love having options for eyes!<<< Even better, if we use PhilW's Bright Eyes for Carrara on the "+" version's reflection layer, we can dial the reflection independently from the eyes themselves! Sweet!!!
*Attached image is my first EYEdeas + setup. In Carrara, there's so much we can do with this, this quick render is only the beginning! I cannot wait to play more! >>>>>
Arki... you ROCK!!! Thank You!!!
urgent: Daz Indie Game Developer License questionguess i am confused now.
So, if I have like Victoria and i make an animation, it looks like 3D , so i do need a license then.
Guess what Chohole said ain't true then ?
No what she said was true but she didn't pay attention that the information about the specific product you were talking about was not available to me when I answered but never-the-less my answer is still correct. So maybe you edited you original post and she didn't realize my post is correct in the information it states. Or the somewhat ambiguous and poorly written second post of yours can easily be read two ways. You should make more effort to clearly write what your questions even if you find that inconvenient and wordy.
I said nothing about needing a Stone Mason Game Development license in addition to a DAZ 3D Game Development for DAZ Originals products. You need a Stone Mason Games Development license for Stone Mason products, just as I said. And so on with other PA products that are not DAZ Originals.
What she said and what I said is correct except that she thinks I was telling you that I told you you need a Stone Mason Game Development License and a DAZ 3D Game Development License for a DAZ Originals product that has Stone Mason listed as the product creator. She is wrong. I didn't say that, but no big deal.
Anyway, an animation that is a sequence of 2D images, in electronic or printed form, you need not worry about any game development license. MP4, AVI, MK4, and other video file formats need no license.
Most people only purchase a game development license only do so to make games in Unity 3D, UE4, Blender, Lumberjack, Cry Engine, Stringray, and other game engines. It's non-sensiscal to buy a game development license if you are not making a game.

urgent: Daz Indie Game Developer License questionOoh ok..
So with still images it's ok.
but if I have like Victoria 4, and just the model, and make it animation video from it, then i need the license?
Flash Sale Alerts IINice bundle sale today! Managed to snag Victoria 7 Pro (not that I care about Vicky herself, I just wanted some of the outfits and hair, lmao, and getting the bundle would be better than buying that stuff carte blanche), the entire G3F body/face/expression morphs, plus the Mech Gear bundle for a pretty good price (read: below $40).
I do wonder if we'll be seeing more 'Build a Bundle'-type sales since this and the one that came before ended up being pretty popular.

http://freezone.thefantasiesattic.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=771Poses v WalkHi,
Can someone direct me on where to find a solution for my problem? I am trying to apply walk animation Victoria 6 / Genesis 2 Female(s) High Heel Walk aniBlock. The idea is that I the character starts a walk after a certain pose. I drag and drop the walk animation to teh time line but it erases all the poses and starts from zero. Before that the character sat in teh chair, stood up and made a step forward. Now it is positioned in the middle of the chair and starts the walk straight off. I am sure it was covered in some discussion, I tired to do a search but couldn't find any answer. Thank you in advance!
"Filter by Content" boxThe check box is "Filter by Context" and is found at the bottom of the Smart Content pane. It it only a filter for what the Smart Content pane shows you. You can toggle it off and on whenever you want to with no permanent consequences. When checked, it limits the items displayed in the Smart Content pane to items that are compatible with the currently selected object in the Scene pane. So, if you select Genesis 3 Male in the Scene Pane, you will see only items compatible with him. You won't see items for other generation characters, for example. If you want to autofit clothing for other generations, you would uncheck that Filter by Context box so Smart Content shows you clothing for all characters.
All this relies on having good metadata for the products. Many older Daz Studio products, like products for Victoria 4 and Michael 4, have no metadata at all, so they have no compatibility data. Items purchased at other stores don't usually have Daz compatible metadata, either.
Hair used in Imogen's 4th promo pic?Anyone know what hair is shown in this promo image?
If for some reason that link doesn't work, it's the fourth promo pic for FWSA's Imogen character.

Genesis 3 Female Morphs and CharactersThanks divamakeup!
I am not quite sure how I found the G3F morphs on the wiki. You're right -- they aren't linked from the main index. I guess it's an orphaned page. I should let the admins there know...

I don't see a pge there for Aiko 4 either. Do you know if there is an Aiko 4 page for freebies for her?
As far as I can tell, the Aiko 4 stuff is listed under Victoria 4: https://poserdazfreebies.miraheze.org/wiki/Victoria_4
As V4 is the base figure for A4.
Problems with "Wear Them All"I just purchased the Wear Tem All Autofitting Clones and Clothing Smoothers for Genesis 3 Female and Male in hopes of using all of the older clothing on the the new figures. However, the only Autofit options I am getting for Genesis 3 figures are the default ones. The additonal "clones" for Genesis, Michael 4 and Victoria 4 are not showing.
I have performed a "Scan for new" within DAZ Studio. I have restarted my computer, and performed a full shutdown and second scan. Still not showing up. Is there something I'm missing from the install?
Error using GenX2 to convert Gen2 to gen3The error is not with Victoria but with Genesis2Female, which despite having GenX2 and the Genesis 2 and 3 addons installed, is not being recognised.

Ok, I give up. How do those damn categories in DS4.9 work?Ok, so I get it something can go wrong with categories at many places. They might not transfer from DS4.8, they might break during an update, they might get overwritten because the vendor updated the metedata.
But can someone explain me, why on earth, if I have a pretty fresh install of both content and DS 4.9 and I create a new category folder, content just doesn't show up right after categorizing it????
In detail:
1.I have a Poser content folder which I want to make a category from
2.I have a folder called something like "My Custom Categories folder" in Categories
3.I right click my Poser content folder and say "Make a category of this folder and subfolders" and categorize it somewhere in the tree of my "Custom Categories Folder"
4. If you try to categorize the individual content of that Poser folder, it will show up as categorized in that concrete folder on that specific spot I assigned it to
5. But going to my "Custom Categories Folder" a minute after that, to check if it's there, and the folder is there, but showing nothing. Poser folder shows content fine. Categories folder link of that folder just doesn't.Product in question was Lady of the Lake for Victoria 4. And I believe it's not the only one.
Anyone idea's on what I'm doing wrong? I'm working in "Offline Mode" so no chance it updated something between me categorizing and looking.
Celebrity Look-a-Likes for 3D figures Part 2On rederosity for the character tomboy For V4 if you look on the pages freebies section thier is a morph for a more feminine looking Face for the character one thought their are Mopph Packages out thier to give her a perfect rump to go in to a pair of Extrem CutOff Short by powerage wich are designed to work On Victoria 4.generation 4 bandages autofit to G1?I haven't used the entire mummy of bandages, but the wrist bandages from the Victoria 4 bundle autofitted well to Genesis even with some Mr Hyde dialed in.
