Plant Factory
My Plant-Factory Trees turn out every time black or darkish inside Carrara.
The Textures are all correctly applied but still no luck outside Vue, only Cinema 4D is working
?

Sydney Bridge for DAZ Studio - https://www.daz3d.com/sydney-bridge-for-daz-studio
Monitor screens are rendering black in Carrara, teleporter walls are also black. Had some show by ticking Wrap V values in UV Mapping.

EDIT - got the Teleporter wall to work when I updated it's shader with the texture.
SOLVED
I opened the Sydney Bridge in DAZ Studio (that plugin for Carrara that they have to give away for free)
Saved it as a Scene Subset.
Opened the Scene Subset in Carrara.
Applied my saved Shader to the Multiple Shading Domains in the Shading tab
Opened the model in the Model room
Went to UV Mapping - Unticked the Wrap U values
Back to the Assemble Room, test render, everything now works !!!

buyimg a new computer...CPU choice depends on other things a system is used for. I also still dabble in Carrara and 3DL (as well as use my system for non 3D purposes) and there, core count along with CPU speed (like a 16 core Ryzen 5900X) is extremely important.
Coming soon: Mesh Grabber 4.0 [Commercial]I haven't used Mesh Grabber, Parsis or any of the other add-ons like that, and I'm sure they work well, but they're all band-aids. I'm not saying it would be easy (I'm assuming there's a reason they haven't already done so), but Daz owns Carrara and could theoretically merge a lot of that functionality into DS, which would give DS users full Bullet physics, particles, mesh creation and modification, and all of that, while still retaining the things that make DS great. Hell, they could (again, theoretically) fold Bryce in as well.
How to render still image with no blurring texture effect ?Cellulo said:
Hi, this screenshot (assemble room software mode) show what i want with the renderer set to photorealistic but it seem it's impossible to reach the exact pixel effect without the blurring (texture blending ?) effect of the renderer.
ah, let me clear this up
you actually do want that pixelated effect in your render so you have a MineCraft effect in your rendered images?
if so, you can only pixelate all textures in Photoshop, save them to a new file and apply them to your models inside Carrara and render

I need some help with the Content BrowserYou could try fixing up your download paths in DIM and see if that helps.
I have a custom location for both my Carrara and DAZ Studio, DIM has had nothing but trouble with them in the past, so I do manual installation to solve the headaches. It is a bit more work but at least I know where the files are.
I need some help with the Content BrowserI recall having a similar problem with some (not all) DS content. The answer I got here was to export OBJ from DS, then load into Carrara. Also, unless it's a really interesting product, I avoid DS content in favor of Poser format. I've got LOT of Poser content (including e.g. Greeble Blocks), so can probably find something to use in an animation that is as good or better than any DS product. Still, the DS Iray renders can be very inviting, say for use as backgrounds in Carrara.

Bastet for Genesis 9 [commercial]Carrara Render - I used some Cat legs converted to G9 - lovely critter
How to render still image with no blurring texture effect ?I opened the castle, and baked out a tower texture.

This is what Carrara will render, I don't know if there is anyway the texture can be pixelated in Carrara, or if it needs to be done in your favourite graphics program then reloaded into the shaders.
If you don't have Inagoni's Baker it is available at https://github.com/Chaplier/inagoni/releases/tag/v1.0
How to render still image with no blurring texture effect ?Hi all, i want to render some objects with no blurring texture made by the photorealistic renderer, it is possible to render sharp still image like in the games of PS1, the default carrara render settings don't allow me to disable the texture blurring after the image rendering or i missed something in the settings, in fact i want the same realtime render texture effect (software) of carrara when viewing the object in the Assemble room with opengl disabled, maybe it's not possible in carrara.
Carrara's "Clips" Are Great - Does DAZ Studio Have Something Similar?Working on a new short animation, I'm reminded how convenient Carrara's "clips" are. I'm still having trouble adapting to DAZ Studio, but I'm wondering if it has something similar? I do have a LOT of "aniMate" products, which I have converted to Carrara clips for convenience.

I dunno if I remember how to use Bryce... it's been years!

it's pretty much like Carrara. The Interface Controls, sort of, almost...
Initially took a bit of finding to work out where the Sky Lab is .....

Hello everyone. I have been dealing with family stuff. Away from my desktop. Not too much free time, and even then limited to what I can do on my laptop.
Thanks for checking on me.

Will be a while before I am home again. Yes, my old laptop has Carrara (yay), but I don't have most of my content libraries. Have to dowload on an as-needed basis, and usually not worth the time. I still get my 3D fix by creating the occasional Carrara model, or blocking out a scene for Stable Diffusion. Will post a freebee sometime just to prove I am still out here.
Hope the family stuff sorts out for the best !!!
