Conforming V4 to G2F shoes in particular... what happened? Can anyone explain why I get the big ugly "full-body" block figure when confirming V4 shoes (even clothing) to G2F? Not sure if I tripped a setting because I don't think this is the usual way DAZ behaves... also tried various tutorials, ideas, conversions to make shoes fit properly but sill no success. Why won't DAZ fix this in their conforming script?? Seems like an easy one to me... Maybe my V4 isn't installed right, but I don't need the target to be a new figure, the one I'm selected on will do...
Thanks y'all!
What were you fitting to what? Fitting Victoria 4 items to Genesis 2 female doesn't normally cause this to happen - indeed, it shouldn't affect the figure being fitted to at all.
Lady TuxedoHaving seen Evan Rachel Wood's spectacular tuxedo from the Golden Globes, I realized that the last time we had a Lady Tux was for Genesis 1, and even that was a man's tux that could be morphed to work on a woman. Still awesome, but not quite the same thing as a Tuxedo styled for a woman. (I realize after writing this that there is an outfit for G2F that is similar, but not as there as I thought. The just about perfect pants are actually chaps.)
I've picked out some of Tom and Lorenzo's recent favorites as examples: (Reading their commentary helps. Especially the Gal Gadot one)http://tomandlorenzo.com/2017/01/evan-rachel-wood-flawless-altuzarra-golden-globe-awards/

Hair Conversion System Pro - CORE
The Core Hair Conversion System Pro is a utility for use with the various Add-Ons available that allow you to convert Figure and Prop hair for the Victoria and Michael line to a specific figure (and in some cases, a family of figures).
It includes a full Add-On for Poser's Jessi figure. This allows you to fully try out the system.Poser only, “Not suitable for use with Poser Debut or DAZ Studio.”

Edited to add: but I did not update the message on the first page with the "4. HAIR FITS and MORPHS" - even that relative short message is 4100 characters too long to be edited and saved again ...
Which is the reason why I am not editing the first message with informations about the Wiki and so on - if I try to edit that one, I get: "Body is 12495 characters too long."
I rescued the list from the first forum changeover, when the length of messages was restricted. But since the second there are toooooooo few characters in a message to make that feasible.
My Project: Brash Lonergan adventures - Warning AI Discussion PossibleMy very own Lorenzo Lorez, so to speak.
As always, suggestions welcome.
Good job buddy, getting better and better, I always thought that original story is always bettter with original characters ...
Seeing StoneMason's models and canned Victoria's with swords and dragons and same motion files used over and over again in so many different stories told is a bit stale.
As a 3D modeler I always remind people that modeling characters (or anything else fot that matter) in itself is an art and it's just like sculpting in real life and it can have its own "story", so model away, I't cool to watch your skills grow
Genevieve 7To me, she's ticking a lot of the traditional checkboxes for Stephanie. Shorter than Victoria, check. Thinner than Victoria, check. Not as genericly "beautiful" as Victoria, check. Somewhat more of a "real person" than Victoria, check. The main one she doesn't check is younger than Victoria. But several of the more recent releases have been older than we're used to seeing. Or, older than their previous iterations, anyway.
Ninive meets arabella, meets...? Nothing special enough for me to even think about.Yep, that's what I'm getting here. Clearly the new Ninive, but this time from modern day France as opposed to middle ages England (and Arabella's older sister, apparently). She also does check-off just about 80+% of the Stephanie quota, but I'm still not sure that Stephanie is out of the picture just yet unless someone can show me Daz-confirmed evidence otherwise.
Though, if she's being released this week, it hints to me that she might be getting a male partner on the 24th...Genevieve 7Another "character actress" type. Good looking, but not necessarily the leading lady. They are certainly getting better at producing less interchangable faces. Still layerng on the gawd-awful unbelievable makeup bit though. I'm not crazy about the eyebrows, either, but those are no longer something that one absolutely has to live with, due to some of the recent add-ons (or take-offs).

Dislike both hairs. Not crazy about the outfits -- although one does have some useful pieces and another is intersting, if odd. None of it looks like it was specifically designed with this character in mind.
Genevieve 7Aren't Arabella and Eva also pretty thin?
Eva basically has the same body shape as Victoria. Arabella is gaunt in some places, ie very thin waist big hips largeish in comparison thighs. Genevieve appears to have a much more evenly thin shape from what I can see?
i.e. slim thighs and not extreme waist or anything, like slim people actually look like, instead of tiny waist but keeping giant thighs and breasts for no apparent reason.
poor wedgiest wedgies ever promosI've always found it weird that wearing modest undergarments in public is so scandalous and yet people will often wear skimpier swimwear without ever eliciting so much as a raised... ... eyebrow.
I had asked my first g/f that one time when she was looking at a Victoria Secrets catalogue. I said, "Why don't you model that for me?" (I was actually very sincere about it, not all creepy). She got all uncomfortable and said No, it was underwear. I said that people wear much skimpier things on the beach, why is this an issue? She looked at me and said, "Would you like me (your girlfriend) to wear only my lingerie out in public for everyone to see?" I stopped and thought about it.
I didn't ask again.
I think it has something to do with consent. When you're in your underwear there is a certain amount of assumed privacy. No stranger should be seeing that. But a bikini, while similar style to underwear, is considered outside clothes. So yes, strangers may see you in a bikini, because there's so privacy needs attached to it, since it's outside clothes.

"Trending Now" vs. "Most Popular"What I notice is that for week after week for the bit less that a year that I've been buying in any quantity is the Victoria 7 & Michael 7 have been nar the top in trending & most popular. So DAZ 3D are selling lots & lots of these base models. I might ought buy Michael 7 myself.
"Trending Now" vs. "Most Popular"I'm not sure that DAZ will share their formulae for these.
I don't think "Most Popular" is based on raw sales figures, I think it has a longer time sample (amongst other possible elements). New items do rise to the first page of "Most Popular" for a while, only to drop away again behind older items. The Darius 7 figure is deservedly popular, but I doubt it has sold more than Victoria 7.
Happy Holidays PA Gifts!ZDG: One of the things on my list was to make some clothing specifically for her. Thanks to Fisty, she now has a dress...which I have yet to try (hard drives dieing really, really suck...but at least this time I have some warning and have been spending the day backing it up).
Don't mean to drag up an 'old' thread... but who is this Anna that is being referred to? I only find one in the store: Anna HD for Victoria 7, and she's by Raiya.
V4/Genesis compatibilityHi all.. Will poses designed for the genesis 2 figure work on v4 or v4.2? or is it the other way around? Call me die hard.. but I still love using my victoria 4 model :o) Excuse me if I mispell etc..I have been gone awhile.and during that time I lost my sight in one eye
"Re-Import Metadata..."
Squeezing 20 G3F figures into 4GB of VRAM using Caymen Studio's latest productIt's sounds very cool, but why doesn't have Victoria 4 version? I usually buy V4 AND m4 products and genesis, genesis 2 and genesis 3, but avoid V3 :( It would be amazing to use my monsters V4 and M4 textures on G3
There is a V4 version:

Thank you DAZ for not correcting the duplicate formulas issue....If you use Save Modified Assets that is likely to cause issues. Use File>Save as>Support Assetrs>Morph Asset to save only the oens that need it.
Yes, the Genesis Evolution Morphs did have the duplicate foprmulas issue - but it was fixed when it became an issue, many DS updates ago (pre 4.5) - if you are getting this with a clean install of a freshly downloaded copy of the morphs then please make a bug report http://www.daz3d.com/help/help-contact-us
I tried the path you said, save as/support assets/morph asset with all morph parameters in ZERO, and it didn't solve anything, it was weird because it started saving files I never used like tamesis bundle, age base, whose parameters where all in ZERO.... I tried also save modified assests... and no resullt. I also deleted all the folders that were created in data. I've seen that genesis.dsf is always saved (with the hour and date of the file) and the result is the same. All figures have victoria 5, basic female, and michael 5 morphs as default. I'm afraid this is a worse bug. Any ideas? Thanks.
Legacy UVs for Genesis 3 [Commercial]Adeirjr, Lilith 6 has her own independent UVs which are different from the Genesis 2 Base Female UVs or the Victoria 6 UVs. This means that the texture cannot be applied using either the G2F or V6 Legacy UV products. However you can convert the Lilith 6 texture to either the G2F Base or V6 UVs by using DAZ Studio's own Map Transfer facility, and from there you can use the Legacy product to apply the skin onto Genesis 3. RobotHeadArt has produced a very useful tutorial (http://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/95701/tutorial-converting-custom-genesis-2-uvs-to-genesis-3) for just that purpose.
Excellent! :D Thank you for the link to the tutorial!
